Fantastic Eye Surgeon, Wonderful Person!

After deciding to have surgery, the single most important decision you can make is to select your surgeon wisely, otherwise you may come to regret it. I was having an upper/lower blepharoplasty and given the importance of the eyes in terms of their form & function (and the prominent role they play in our overall facial appearance) I was not going to take any chances by choosing some generic plastic surgeon or worse still a tourist oriented cosmetic surgery clinic. I wanted a specialist surgeon whose primary centre of expertise was the eyes and oculoplastic surgery. And eventually my research led me to just that person - Dr. Ilke! She has performed many hundreds of procedures related to the eyes, including correcting botched surgeries from other surgeons (complications from eye surgery are a lot more common than you might think) and congenital deformities in kids and adults. As I have already mentioned, she really is a specialist and expert when it comes to the eyes. Three months in, my own surgery is a complete success, as I expected it would be given that my research led me to Dr.Ilke and I was in safe hands. But one of the things I was not expecting was just how kind, friendly and accessible she was. After the surgery Dr.Ilke contacted me on several occasions to see how I was recovering, as well as promptly answering all my questions, over the last 3 months. I very much doubt other surgeons would give up their personal time and show such continued attention and care to their patients post-surgery, but Dr. Ilke is genuinely a fantastic eye surgeon and equally a wonderful person.
