Just Done Excited to Track the Transformation!

WORTH IT
I’m 38 and just had upper eyelid bleph yesterday. Both of my parents had it done so chubby eyelids just run in the family I guess. I was fortunate to have it covered by insurance based on my before pictures and a taped and untaped visual field test. So here are the photos moments before surgery and immediately after. More updates to come!

Hello! Your results look awesome. Did you have to contact your insurance or did the surgeons office help you with coordinating the field test? My vision is definitely impaired from my eyelids, and they look just like yours, so I'm hoping that its somewhat covered.

When I went for the initial consultation the PS wrote a script for the visual field test so I made an appointment at one of several optical places he recommended and they sent the results directly to my PS. They submitted everything for prior approval. I didn’t have to do anything. They were wonderful. Took about 30 days for the approval to go through.

Awesome thank you so much! I have my virtual consultation tomorrow so I will definitely ask about this. Hope you're enjoying your new look! xoxo

Hi how are u feeling? I just had upper eyelid surgery as well. Im very swollen and bruised.

Hi! I’m 4 days out now and the bruising and swelling is going down. I’ve been taking Arnica orally and putting it on topically also. I think another thing that is helping the most is sleeping in the recliner. I did the first night and then slept in bed the 2nd and that was a mistake. So I returned back to the recliner and it’s been much better. I get the stitches out at 10am this morning I can’t wait! Starting to itch which is a sign of healing.

stunning results & I was putting this surgery off bc I thought I would need like 10 days to recover but you look absolutely amazing at day 4. Did you just do eye bags or upper lids as well? Congrats!

Can you share more about your recovery? Did you need pain meds? When can you wear make-up? I want to keep my surgery private so I am very curious if I could recover in under a week so I don't have to share with family.

Thank you! I am very happy with the results. Tomorrow is day 8 and will be my first day back to work. I do plan on wearing makeup for the first time because the incisions are closed. They are still sensitive and fragile so I am going to put nu skin on them before applying makeup. I only had my upper lids done. I plan on getting tear trough filler in the next few months. I will post pics tomorrow after I have makeup on to see how well it’s disguised. I have a feeling you won’t be able to see it at all. Keep in mind the pics posted hide the incision as it’s in the crease of my lid so it’s not well seen when my eyes are open but it is more noticeable when closed.
As far as recovery it was a breeze. I only really needed pain meds immediately after surgery in the recovery room and took just regular Tylenol the next morning. I was prescribed Norco but didn’t even take it. I have 2 little ones and cared for them no problem while I’ve been off. I followed the post op instructions icing and also used oral and topical Arnica. I also slept in the recliner for the first few days. Go for it!! ☺️
