Amazing Clinic for DES and Skincare
It was my first time in Korea and my first time getting any cosmetic procedures. I am so happy and grateful that I chose to go with Thank You PS. And I am already loving my results 3 wks post-op.
Prior to my procedure, I had been thinking of getting ptosis correction, upper epicanthoplasty, and mainly non-incisional double eyelid surgery to correct the asymmetry on my eyelids. Since it was my first surgery I did many days of research prior to my arrival to Korea. In total I consulted with a total of 6 clinics. I had heard many good things about the clinic from Korean sources and from google searches. When I arrived at the clinic, my first impression was that this clinic was that the clinic was clean, well maintained, and the staff were professional. It was also very busy with a lot of locals and some foreigners which was a good sign since they mentioned that the clinic only opened July 2022. Why I ultimately decided to go with Thank You PS was because of Dr. Hwang. Dr. Hwang was very patient and carefully listened to my concerns. What I wanted was a natural look, symmetrical eyes (originally had a double and single lid), and have eyes that would suit my other facial features. What really set him apart from the other doctors that I consulted with was that he was very meticulous and could accurately give me a visual of how my eyes would look post surgery. He also gave me 7 options by gently forming temporary creases above my eye in intervals of around .5mm so I could accurately chose how high or low I wanted my eyelid crease to be. This step is crucial as each .5 mm makes a difference to your final results. Other surgeons that I consulted with barely went over this step or only provided max 3 options with the crease height/shape changing each time with the same option. At the end of my consultation I felt super confident in the doctor’s ability. Also bonus points because he could speak English very fluently.
On the day of the surgery, we had another pre-surgery consultation to design and confirm the design of my eyelids. Dr. Hwang spent around 30-40 mins pre-surgery designing my eyelids. He meticulously measuring the distance of my eyes, and did many checks to confirm symmetry. He was sure to double check and confirmed with me the kind of eyelid crease height and style I wanted. Again, this step is crucial as each .5mm impacts your final look. After the pre-surgery consultation, I was ready for surgery. During the entire time leading up and during surgery, I felt relaxed and calm as I knew I was in good hands. I was under sleep sedation and did not experience any pain, all I remember was them waking me up during surgery to tell me to open and close my eyes as they checked for symmetry. The surgery went seamlessly well and was painless.
5 days later I had my stitch out and their complimentary laser de-swelling treatment. Dr. Hwang was there to do a checkup and answer any questions I had. He said it looked good, and any swelling would go down within 2-3wks post-op. Since I had some time I decided to go to their skincare department which was a whole separate floor. I did rejuran skin booster under sleep sedation and have been loving how my skin is feeling and looking. Overall I am so thankful to Dr.Hwang for how my eyes look and for the consultants at Thank You PS for their professionalism.
