Consultation review: Bad overall experience

I honestly wanted to love this doctor based on all the reviews I've read but unfortunately I did not. Quite the contrary.

I scheduled a consult, which costs $250 by the way. It goes towards the cost of your surgery should you choose to have it. I went in to my consult that day and waited for about 55 mins. It was in the middle of a work day and given that I have a crazy work schedule, I wasn't pleased. Additionally, there is no WiFi and internet does not work in his office.

Side note: if a patient is late, there is a "late fee". Before me, there was another patient that walked out because she's been waiting for over an hour. General rule, if you are going to charge me for showing up late, shouldn't that apply to you?

When I finally saw the doctor, I was less than impressed. He was not thorough, and the entire visit felt extremely rushed. I was done in 10 mins then he walked me to his coordinator to talk pricing. I then had to wait an additional 15 mins for whatever reason. She "walked" me through the pricing but it was more like just telling me the prices. Those didn't correspond with the recos he made.

In closing, I felt like this office operates like a factory. They're just trying to get people in and out. I paid the $250 consult fee for less than a 10min visit. Needless to say, I will not be moving forward with any procedures. If a doctor isn't meticulous with the time spent with a patient and their concerns, then I doubt they'd behave that way in an operating room. Beware of docs that are "insta-famous". They spend way too much time on social media and media outlets than their patients. That is very telling.
