Horrible surgeon

$8,000

Avoid Dr. Vrcek at all costs. My experience with him was a nightmare. Despite my specific concerns about dark circles and lines, he pushed an unnecessary and botched lower blepharoplasty with an under-eye chemical peel and festoon elevation, showcasing extreme cases as expected results. Post-surgery, one eye was glaringly smaller, and despite my immediate concern, he dismissed it with false promises of symmetrical healing. Six months later, I'm left with asymmetry, dark circles, and lines. His solution? Botox every three months and hydroquinone, which only adds insult to injury. The $8000 wasted on this disastrous procedure is bad enough, but his refusal to refund is outrageous. Dr. Vrcek is not just a terrible surgeon; he's an unpleasant person. Steer clear – this was a costly mistake I wouldn't wish on anyone.

Wow, I had a consultation with him a few months ago and was strongly considering Dr. Vrcek. This post has helped me so much and I will keep looking for the right surgeon. Thank you so very much for your honest review and I wish you the best of luck with finding a positive outcome on your experience.
You make the right decision. He left me with so many problems, not just aesthetic but, vision as well.
Can I ask exactly what you got done with him? Fat removal or repositioning? Fat grafting? Curious what went wrong as he was a doc I was considering. Thank you!
I’m so sorry that happened to you :( that’s frightening I was considering consulting with him.
Hi I'm left with the same issue after lower bleph with another surgeon. Eye left hollowed and smaller. Enophthalmos (sunken eye). Sis you manage to find a surgeon to fix it? Please let me know who as I am desperately searching
Hello, can I ask what you got done that caused the sunken eye? I’m trying to learn what techniques I should avoid. Like Did you have fat pad removal or fat repositioning? Any fat grafting? Than you!
Oh no I'm here for the same reason and actually this doctor is one who offers implants for enopthalmos. I have it in both eyes after botched lower bleph. Have you found a fix since your comment?

Follow-up

I went for a consultation with another surgeon to address my chief concerns and he believes Dr. Vrcek actually removed fat and hollowed out my under eyes more than they were prior to my surgery. The tissue is now very thin and dark. I was super disappointed to hear this but am hopeful that it can be restored by a more qualified plastic surgeon.

1 star google review

I left this same exact review on google and it has mysteriously disappeared. People should be able to know the truth before having their face operated on. I’m glad RealSelf has an open and honest forum.
