Amazing Experience and Results. Confidence Restored!

I have nothing but amazing things to say about my experience with Dr. Chang. I have been extremely self conscious about my ender eye bags for the last 10 years. I had never thought about getting a blepharoplasty at age 34 until a friend of mine received one and her results were fantastic. After researching non surgical options and their cost/recovery time, I decided I wanted to go the surgical route and get an essentially permanent fix to my under eye bags. I started researching Oculoplastic surgeons in the Seattle area and found Dr. Chang through Google/Real self. I am a surgical nurse, so I truly did a deep dive into my options and saw nothing but green flags for Dr. Chang. I scheduled a consult in November 2025. Dr. Chang was extremely kind, thorough and honest during the consult. She took time to answer any questions and was very transparent about the whole process. She also went over any non surgical options. I decided to schedule the recommended lower blepharoplasty with fat transfer and chemical peel in April 2026. The pre op appointment again was great. Extremely informative and went over what to expect day of surgery and recover. I decided to utilize the lid lift goggles.

Day of surgery I was extremely nervous (mostly about the anesthesia) and truly the whole process was so easy and smooth. I met with Dr. Chang pre op and she answered any final questions I had. The anesthesia team was amazing. The anesthesia truly made it feel like I just took a nap. I woke up in no pain and was out the door in maybe 20 minutes. Dr. Chang provided a script for pain meds if needed but the pain was truly minimal and I was fine with Tylenol. I utilized the lid lift goggles for the first 48 hours as directed and while they were uncomfortable at times (IYKYK) they really did speed up the recovery and it was nice to not worry about icing my face. I would absolutely choose to wear them again. I had very minimal bruising and the most noticeable thing on my face throughout the whole recovery process were the little steri strips covering the sutures.

Throughout the whole process, I never once questioned my decision and felt I was in the best hands with Dr. Chang. I absolutely LOVE the results! Every time I look in the mirror I just can't believe how good my eyes look. I look refreshed and rested. I have so much more confidence. It is such a subtle difference to others, but a life changing difference to me. I no longer feel afraid of my own reflection on the security cameras at the grocery store self checkouts.
