Amazing Experience and Realistic Results !

I went to see Dr. Chaboki back in May for a consultation to see if I would be a good candidate for upper eyelid surgery. I was specifically looking for someone who had experience in Asian eyelids. My previous surgeon did not work with Asian eyelids so I was on a hunt for someone who specifically is educated in Asian eyelids. I found Dr. Chaboki online and decided to take a chance . The front desk people were super friendly upon my first consultation. Dr. Chaboki took the time to take pictures and show images on the computer to help me understand what would be achieved after the procedure. I had a crease already but wanted more of the crease to show as I’ve always had droopy eyelids and it got worst with age. Dr. Chaboki is super conservative which I like . He encourages you to not do a drastic change based on what looks good on other people, but a more subtle change that suits what looks good on your face. After careful consideration, I decided to go through with the procedure. I originally booked in for July - but then something happened with the nurse and etc. I think the only difficult part was scheduling a time because a nurse had to be there . You can do an option at the hospital where they put you completely to sleep, but I did not want to go with that route. Eventually we were able to book a date!! Surgery day: I was super super nervous . For anyone that suffers from severe anxiety, the thought of being awake during the procedure made me so nervous in the weeks following the procedure. I’ve suffered from anxiety just having eyelash extensions one time. On the day of the surgery Dr.Chaboki made me feel at ease . He did prescribe be Valium before the surgery but I honestly was scared to take it. Again - that’s more of a personal choice because I do not do well with drugs (even Xanax). I’ve read good and bad reactions to Valium and knowing me I was a little scared . Some people do fantastic on it so it’s all a personal choice ! Dr. Chaboki assured me I really didn’t need it . I am so glad he did because the procedure was very very simple . The only part that hurt a little bit was the numbing shot. It honestly was not that though . Just a tiny pinch! The rest of the procedure went so smooth. It didn’t hurt one bit . The only weird feeling part was the sound of the cutting and stitching, but nothing that was severe enough to make me freak out. The whole time, both the nurse and Dr. Chaboki was chatting with me which helped ease my mine. Both of their bedside manners were professional and awesome. Each eye took probably under 20 minutes . Super quick! I was able to take an Uber to Baltimore City right after the surgery. I did not feel any pain. I just felt heavy in the eyes . Brushing was obviously bad during the first few days. My eyes got a bit allergic from the stitching (I also suffer from extremely sensitive skin) and so the bruising did take longer to heal. I know some people who take a week, however I took a good two weeks for the bruising to go down. Again - everyone’s experience is different. Ive had other surgeries before and have always bruised more than the average person. I was able to do two FaceTime follow up visits which was nice because I live a little bit far. Dr. Chaboki made sure all my questions were answered. The stitching dissolved on its own so I did not need any stitches removed. I did a follow-up appointment today. It’s been 3 months since my procedure. I still have scarring that’s noticeable so Dr. Chaboki injected steroids to the area. I will say wow… it definitely made the scarring better already. Overall- great experience!!! I really enjoy not having the use eyelid tape everyday or have to stretch my eyelids when I wake up every morning. I was always so self conscious in photos about my droopy eyelid which looked worst in photos. The best part is nobody noticed it at all ! My own mother and sister did not notice I got anything done. My husband said it was super subtle. It was an awesome experience because the procedure was really for myself and not for anyone else. I am happy with it and would 100 percent encourage anyone who has a hard time figuring out whether they should go through with the surgery - you won’t regret it !
