1 Week Post Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty

I am 1 week post surgery and concerned with droopy right upper eyelid. I still have a few remaining stitches that will be removed next week. Saw Dr 2 days ago and he removed stitches from upper lids and said the right eye often swells more because he starts on the right side. Hopefully it will resolve but wondering if this is common and if others have had this experience.

I am pretty sure the swelling is a normal process. It will take you several months to completely heal and the swelling will subside and then the swelling will come back. Etc. I think your eyes look great! Congrats

My right eye is healing slower because it was worst. If he completed the right surgery first, wouldn’t it heal quicker?

I'm 6 months out from an upper blepharoplasty and I had the same issue and my ps kept saying to give it time. Well, my right eyelid will not fully open and ps says nothing is wrong and that my eyes weren't symmetrical o begin with. True, but both of my eyelids opened fully. I'm so disappointed and hate looking in mirror. I now have an appointment w an oculoplastic surgeon. Also, my lids are now both covered with broken capillaries. Keep me posted!

Also forgot to mention, the right eyelid was cut above the crease vs in the crease, so the scar also shows and has a blue streak. I did go to an eye doctor and she said he either cut a nerve or a muscle. I'm hoping the oculoplastic surgeon can fix my eye, but not happy about having surgery again.
