I had an eyebrow transplant with Dr. Dauer and I had a wonderful experience.
I had over plucked my eyebrows over the years and a lot of the hairs didn’t grow back. As a result, my eyebrows were quite sparse and not full. I had tried microblading but it did not give me the result I wanted, and I still end up using eyebrow pencils to fill them in. I had read about eyebrow transplants and did my research. I was specifically looking for doctors in LA since I had planned to visit from overseas. I found Dr. Dauer online and scheduled a virtual consult. The consultation was great and all of my questions were answered with great comfort, so I scheduled the procedure right away.
All the pre & post op information was sent to me beforehand by Dr. Dauer’s assistant Laura. On the day of the procedure, I got to the office and discussed the shape with Dr. Dauer.
The procedure took around 4 hours. It was actually much simpler than I had envisioned. It was completely painless, save for the numbing injections which were like any other injections. Halfway through we discussed the shape again just to be sure if I was happy with it. After the procedure, there was a little bit of redness. The back of my head which was wear the hair was extracted, was a little sore. In the following few days, I had very minor swelling around my eyes.
My eyebrows looked amazing regardless. I was told that over the next few months, many of the hairs will fall out and then re-grow again in the next growth cycle. I actually did not experience a lot of hair fall. I am now nearly 8 months post-op and am extremely happy with result so far, although full results will be evident at one year pot-op.
Choosing the right doctor is very important. Dr. Dauer is an expert in this field. I was beyond happy with the care I received from Dr. Dauer and his assistant Laura, starting from my initial correspondence leading to the post-op follow up. Doing this procedure has been one of the best decisions and investments for me. My eyebrows look so natural and I am saving 10 minutes every day since I don’t need to use pencils anymore to fill them in. I would recommend it to anyone who needs it or wants to have fuller brows.
