Smiling with makeup- actually feel under eyes look way better without the makeup. The makeup actually defines wrinkles that remain. Softening of the existing deep wrinkles I had. They did not resolve as much as I had hoped but this type of peel can be done again.

This looks great!! Keep us posted on how long it lasts! Would you say that your skin is sensitive? I'm curious because it looks like you have fair complexion (like me!!)
Yes, my skin is super sensitive. I blush easily and turn red easily. They actually prefer very fair skin for the procedure. This type you can get done more than once if you desire even more tightening which personally I would do I don’t like to just dive in with both feet. I figure once you do too much it’s hard to go back. The procedure should last as long as I stay out of the sun. I am going to get it done once more to take care of the remaining lines.
Is there a noticeable color or texture difference between the area where you had the peel vs the surrounding skin?
You look beautiful!
Thanks!
You look great! I had a full face phenol peel, strong around my mouth and medium on the rest of my face two years ago. The difference was incredible. I then wanted to have another procedure, and my husband said "why mess with perfection." It got rid of all my wrinkled sundamaged skin without any surgery.

Before with makeup

Before with makeup. Makeup makes lines worse no matter what you use in my opinion. I am in the sun allot for many years so eyes are aged for 42 years allot of smiling also. My concern that I ward about often was the skin may become lighter well mine is an exact match as it was before not lighter at all. There is a pinkish brown but that will go away and dr says collagen is still in production it will tighten up over the next few weeks. Still a bit itchy.

ORIGINAL POST

Under Eye Modified Phenol Peel

Day one sat in chair received Valium and topical. I was a bit nervous about the procedure and both helped practically making the procedure itself really tolerable I actually could not believe how fast it was done. The edges burned a bit which were the areas closest to the intreated skin, but not long.

I got up and walked to check out. Then the burn started to kick in. I would describe it as a wave of burning or waves. You definitely want someone to drive you so you can squirm around in your seat for an hour. An hour was all it burned for and it may have been less had I taken the ibuprofen sooner. I would say it is more than a sunburn but very doable because you know it will end. I have a high tolerance for pain and I think most could handle this burn.

After the burn everything is uneventful just stay on top of washing with cetaphil and coating thick with aquaphor.

Day 1-3 no real change in the skin. You may think it didn’t work. Day 3 it starts to brown. Day 4 it appears that some layers of skin are coming off. Hard to tell if it’s the aquaphor skin or both. The aquaphor covers the brown skin. Day 5 things get a little pink and red. The itching also starts up. Wear gloves to sleep in. On day 7 I woke up scratching my left eye. Dr. Checked me out says all looks good. Put aquaphor on two red spots for two more days. Makeup is a go then. Day 8 under eyes skin looks pinkish brown I compare the look to a recovering black eye.
