I am a 44 year-old woman and have struggled with hereditary under eye bags my whole life. I've always been self conscious about them and tried everything I could to hide them with make up. People often commented on how tired I looked. When I looked in the mirror I always felt old. I was ready for an improvement, and decided to go in for a consultation. I met with Dr. Henstrom and decided I did, in fact, want to go through with the Blepharoplasty/ Fat Repositioning sugery, as recommended. The procedure went really well and I couldn't be happier with my results. It took me about a month for most of the swelling and scarring to go away, but I was able to resume my normal activities after about a week, and felt comfortable in public at about 2 weeks. I LOVE the results and I feel a lot better about how I look! My face looks fresh and alive! It's a huge relief not to have to dread looking in the mirror anymore.
Dr. Henstrom was so great to work with. He explained the procedure and what the recovery process would look like, at both my consultation appt and the day of surgery. I felt comfortable talking to him about my concerns and feel like he addressed everything really well. I am now 3 months post op! I would strongly recommend anyone struggling with under eye bags to talk with Dr Henstrom. I am SO glad I did!
