Lower Blepharoplasty by Very Skillful Doctor

WORTH IT
I am tired of looking tired and often annoyed with people questions whether I had enough rest due to my eye bags. Though I knew that I actually could opt for lower- blepharoplasty I tried other treatment like thread lift to make my face looking less tired the and also tried various eye cream as I was very afraid of surgery.
My turning point was when I had "messed-up" threadlift treatment by inexperienced doctor (which I actually did not even need!!). I started thinking to nail the root cause once for all.
I am very careful in selecting the doctor this time. I carefully look for sensible reviews and my own judgement instead of merely from blogger reviews. Other than that, reading articles about the treatment itself from medical perspective did help.
Since I can't find much information on the doctors in the country where I reside (most people in my circles are blessed with "bag-less" eye!!) and I already had a planned trip to US for other purpose, I looked around for oculoplastic surgeon there. At the end, I shortlisted 2 surgeons after consultation. Both looked very experienced, skillful and caring. I ended up choosing Dr. Kotlus since he sounded more experienced in handling international patient..
I had the procedure in the early morning, came a little bit late due to the traffic. Dr. Kotlus was already ready in the operating room. He also patiently asked whether I still had any unanswered questions before the procedure. The procedure itself took about 30-45 minutes.
The recovery process was much better than my initial expectation. I came back from surgery with swollen eyelids and upper cheek which needed cold compress every 2-3 hours. However I could already go out on the 4rd days with just very little bruise . Just for information, I do not like applying any cosmetics at all on my face and I did not see or hear anyone noticing something strange on my face. Dr. Kotlus said I indeed recovered faster than others in average.
When I went back to the clinic for 1 week review, I looked almost normal. Just that my eyes had a bit of discharge from time to time which lasted up to 2nd week after surgery.
And now it's about 1.5 month since the surgery day and I am fully back to normal, no pain no dry eyes no discharge, well, better than normal actually as I do not look tired anymore and I still look like myself :) Very happy with the result and most importantly I do not have problems with my eyes in terms of functionality after surgery. This is my utmost concern actually as blepharoplasty had risk of blindness, one of them due to retrobulbar hemorrhage.
His wonderful assistant, Marisa, was also very responsive and helpful.
Just a bit of administrative glitch on the surgery day as the assistant on that day did not inform me of my prescribed medicine and also due to multiple attempts to charge my credit card from country outside of my residence (as the payment was separated between doctor fee and anesthesia fee) , my credit card was blocked for the whole duration of my trip by the bank. So it's better if could just charge once.
