Extremely Happy with my Rhinoplasty :)

I had a septo- rhinoplasty done with Dr. Romo. I had a complex case where my nose was completely fractured/deviated to one side so I could only breathe from one nostril, and had a drooping columella, no slope, and very bulbous nose.

I researched a lot and consulted with many other nyc/long island surgeons, but wanted one who’s very qualified and mainly focuses/ highly skilled in rhinoplasties. I didn’t want to get a second surgery.

He did an excellent job both externally and internally and I’m extremely happy with my new nose. He did exactly what I asked for. Using my ear cartilage, he made a nice slope, completely straightened the nasal bone and septum, and made it overall smaller. It still looks natural and I can completely breathe from both nostrils now easily. 

Dr. Romo’s very funny, honest, friendly, professional, and genuinely cares about giving you the best nose. The staff, Diane, Patty, the anesthesiologist, and nurses, are all extremely nice and comforting as well. 

It was about a 2.5 hr open rhinoplasty and the recovery wasn’t horrible. It was like having a bad cold where you don’t feel like eating. I took pain killers only on the day of the surgery. My under eyes were bruised up and there was nose bleeding for about a week. I felt way better after the nose packing came out 6 days post op. 

This surgery changed my whole face for the better and I wasn’t expecting it to come out this great. I’m extremely happy with my new nose and highly highly recommend Dr. Romo!
