I am amazed everyday that this is my body

From start to finish, my Tummy Tuck journey with Cape & Islands Plastic Surgery and Dr. Seth Jones has been life changing. After losing over 100 lbs a decade ago and keeping it off with weightlifting and healthy nutrition, I decided it was time to have the skin removed from my abdomen and show the hard work I had put in. As a personal trainer and performer, I was very particular about the results I wanted. Dr. Jones was positive from the get go that I would be thrilled with the results and he wasn’t even slightly kidding. His confidence helped boost my own during the more nerve wracking moments and I knew I was in good hands. On February 4rth, I received an extended tummy tuck with muscle repair for diastasis recti and liposuction to my flanks. My experience at Cape Cod Hospital was exceptional, my nursing staff overnight were kind and attentive. Dr. Jones came to see me personally twice during my stay to ensure I was ready to go home. During my aftercare at home, my visits to the (exceptionally clean and friendly) Hyannis office were positive, and I had a drama free, best it could have been, recovery. My pain was well managed and by 2 weeks post op I was feeling much more myself. Every week has been better and better. I am amazed everyday that this is my body and it has been even easier now to see how my body is reacting to its new shape and nutritional as well as movement needs. My confidence, which was never really lacking before, is soaring. I am looking forward to the next year as my body continues to change, as I am 12 weeks post op today and know it’s a process, but I am so grateful to Dr. Jones and his staff for making this the best thing I have ever done for myself.
