Couldn't have had a better experience! Buccal fat removal

I found dr. Leyva on RealSelf so it's only right that I return the favor. I wanted to wait a couple weeks before I wrote a review but my results are amazing already. I wish he had more reviews before I went to see him but I think it's only because he's new. So hopefully this helps someone else out that's considering him for plastic surgery. He does look young, but is very knowledgeable, pleasant to talk to and speaks English fluently which was a plus.
I first contacted Mariana (who is a star) for buccal fat removal & chin filler and she got back to me relatively fast. I think she's super busy because I believe she is the coordinator for a couple doctors but she's so sweet when you talk to her and she always answers her phone. She made the process seamless. Ive never been to Tijuana & was flying so I decided to stay one night at the hotel Mariana suggested, The Quartz. I absolutely recommend to stay there, the grounds are gorgeous. It's next to his office which is basically a luxurious medical plaza. I had a brief consultation with Dr. Leyva since I was having a minor procedure. I also wanted a non surgical nose job but he was honest with me and told me non-surgical nose jobs are risky because your nose has a lot of veins so I appreciated that he advised against it. It made me trust him more. Once he saw that my face was a good candidate for bfr & chin filler, it was a quick 30 min procedure.
I do recommend light general anesthesia instead in local. I read some reviews with local anesthetic where they could taste and smell everything while the doctor was taking the fat out and an uncomfortable feeling which I did not want. I had none of that with light general anesthesia. I literally felt nothing, just felt relaxed and loopy. The anesthesiologist was also sweet and made me feel calm. They made me stay there for 10 minutes to be ok enough to walk back to my hotel. As soon as I saw myself in the mirror I was so happy! Although dr Leyva said I wouldn't see results for awhile & it'll be subtle, I can see a difference already! Also another thing I didn't expect, I have very minimal swelling!!! My parents just picked me up from the airport and didn't notice a thing. He did say my buccal fat popped right out which I believe is the reason why I have very little swelling because he did not have to tug on my skin at all. It's been a week so far, I did get a little more swelling by the 3rd day but nothing noticeable. I'm omitted salt to help, only smoothies and juices for me. I love my chin so much too. Even with my cheeks being slightly swollen, when I see myself , I def look more contoured. I can't wait to see how it'll look in a month! Now that I had the experience, I am definitely thinking about other procedures I can get from him now lol...
