I had a seamless, wonderful experience with Dr. Nico, and while I'm still waiting to see full results, I'm so pleased two weeks after my butt/back tuck surgery. Background: I recently lost a lot of weight and desperately wanted to address sagging skin on my butt. I live in New York City, and the cost of the procedures here are simply prohibitive. I did a ton of research into plastics in Tijuana and the medical tourism industry there, reached out to several board-certified plastic surgeons I felt I could trust, and ultimately felt most comfortable and excited about moving forward with Dr. Nico. His work speaks for itself (lots of photos on Facebook and IG), but what impressed me most right away was the highly organized and quick communication with his coordinator Magui. She speaks and writes English fluently (this wasn't the case with some other offices), which made it so much easier for us to go back and forth quickly and without any misunderstandings. The price quotes, deposit instructions, travel package outline, itinerary and pre- and post-op guides -- everything was spelled out clearly and formatted beautifully. As someone who works in communications, this is so crucial for me! The front office is a representation of how well the practice is run, and it was clear by how on top of everything Magui was that Dr. Nico's office is a well-oiled machine. I flew into San Diego from New York and checked into my recovery home, where I stayed for about week. (The transportation and recovery home options are all included in the package.) The recovery home was a bit of a struggle, as the nurses -- who are SO sweet and caring -- didn't speak English and were late in delivering some medication and meals. Not a dealbreaker, though, and I managed. The pre-op appointment was pretty quick, where Dr. Nico made his markings and took his time to answer any questions. I recommend really doing your research and coming in with all the questions, double-checking where the markings are placed and thoroughly discussing how everything will look. Dr. Nico speaks English fluently (with an American accent at that!) and is super calm, knowledgable and patient. The hospital where I had the surgery was clean, quiet and modern, and all the nurses and doctors there were wonderful. Dr. Nico's presence was reassuring, and the surgery itself was a breeze. The pain leveled off by the day after, and I was walking around pretty easily the next day (I know recovery can vary between patients, so I feel lucky that it's been so easy!). The in-office follow-up was quick and efficient, and then I was back home a week later. I've been thrilled by how clean and straight the incision is, and am hopeful this will translate to a very thin scar. Magui has since followed up consistently and compassionately, and relayed my messages and questions to Dr. Nico quickly -- to which he has also responded just as quickly. Beyond the excellent work on my body, I can't speak highly enough of the organization, communication and compassion provided by Dr. Nico and his coordinator Magui. They really made it easy to trust flying to Mexico from New York, undergoing the procedure and coming back to continue recovering. I'm already looking forward to my next round of surgeries with him (thigh and arm lifts). I know how overwhelming it can be looking for an excellent doctor outside the U.S. I hope my experience can help someone else deep in research, and provide the assurance they need to finally pull the trigger and go for it!

I'm 4 weeks post op and am in love with my results. Dr Nico is a perfectionist and so caring. Top notch surgeon. I traveled from Northern California to see him and am amazed how smooth it all went. I Love that patient care and safety as well as amazing results is so important to Dr Nico! Originally, my quote included a torsoplasty. (Based on photos) When Dr Nico was able to examine me in person, he let me know that he believed my results could be just as great with an extended breast lift without doing the torsoplasty. I took that option and I am very pleased with my results. I was reimbursed about $2500!!! Patient results and care are what’s important with Dr. Nico. I was sincerely impressed that he reevaluated his recommendation when he was able to see me in person and not go with making more money!!!

I had one of the best experiences with Dr Nico, and his coordinator Magui, I live in the United States and I was able to coordinate everything via emails with Magui, she clarified all my doubts regarding the procedure and recovery time, trip to San Diego, CA, someone was waiting for us there to cross the border, at no time did I or my husband feel unsafe, the trip was very pleasant. We arrived at the Baja Premium recovery house where they treated me very well. On the day of the surgery I was transferred to the hospital where the care was excellent, the cleanliness impeccable. Dr Nico is a super perfectionist, the lines and my belly button are perfect, I had very good post-operative care, even after returning home I kept sending my questions to the coordinator who responded very quickly. Now more than confident in myself, I feel more than happy with my results and for the first time I can wear a two-piece swimsuit in my entire life. More than grateful to Dr Nico and his magical hands, my only regret was not being able to do this earlier.

Hello, I am almost 8 weeks post op. And so far I am beyond happy with my results. Since my teen yrs I’ve been insecure with my body, especially my breast. After having children my insecurities about my body only intensified. I never knew what it was like to have a nice flat stomach or perky breast.. til now.
