Ethnic Rhinoplasty in Korea Changed my Life

I have had insecurity because of my nose shape as long as I remember myself. It was too big, “meaty” I would say, and didn’t fit my face at all. So the idea of rhinoplasty wasn’t sudden for me, but it was sudden to choose Korea for it.
A friend of mine said that he was considering Korea for his nose job, and back then I had no idea of what Korean plastic surgery is. However, it turned out to be a very foreigner-welcome country, especially for medical tourism.
Id was one of the first results that popped up in google when I was looking for a plastic surgery clinic. I’ve scheduled consultation and surgery in advance, and long story short, after hesitating a lot I finally arrived to Seoul for my surgery.
I loved that the nose doctor totally understood my desirable nose shape. I’ve requested for before/after cases similar to mine, and finally felt that I chose the right place. I don't know how, but they did great nose job on ethnic noses.
I don’t remember any pain or discomfort after surgery. I was so excited for my nose to be done that I wasn't even scared or nervous. The hardest thing for me was recovery. My face got more and more swollen after 1 day and the skin around my eyes turned black and blue. Consultant warned me that this would happen, and that made it more bearable for me.
On the second day, I didn’t venture anywhere, staying in the hotel. I was told not to touch my nose, which was hard to not do, but I didn’t.
My breathing was through my mouth as my nostrils were packed with dressing and cast. This was a bit uncomfortable, but still bearable. By the end of the first week, the bandages were off and the nasal cast was removed. I got some laser treatment and mask packs, which was really nice.
It was time to fly home. The bruising was greatly diminished. By the time I got home, I could discern a big difference in my before and after photos and I can’t describe how happy I was. Never in my life I was so excited about taking profile pictures haha. The only thing I regret is not getting it done earlier.
