Understood what I wanted aesthetically

I am 1 year post-op for an ethnic rhinoplasty and I cannot say enough about how incredible my experience with Dr. Kwak and his staff have been. I wanted to get a rhinoplasty for years, but being mixed Asian and white made it challenging to find a surgeon who understood what I wanted aesthetically - to increase the height of my nose bridge and tip projection without losing my mixed features.

Dr. Kwak was my 5th consultation in the NYC area and within the first 20 minutes of talking to him I knew I would choose him as my surgeon. In my hour-long consultation he listened to my concerns and created a mock-up of what my result would look like. He was not pushy and trying to sell me some quick fix - he was genuinely interested in collaborating with me to give me my best result until I was happy.

In that experience, Dr. Kwak earned my trust and 1 year looking back - I cannot impart enough how important it is to trust your surgeon. As someone who has never had a rhinoplasty until now, I had no idea that all of the ‘before’ and ‘after’ pictures you see are taken 1 year apart. There were many times in my journey that I was fearful that I would not like my final result - but I always would remember that first consultation and how in that moment I genuinely trusted his ability to give me the rhinoplasty I’ve always wanted - and I’m so happy that I was patient because he did.
