6.5 weeks after 4th PRP treatment
WORTH IT$2,540
Had 4 treatments 1 month apart with 4th treatment ending 6.5 weeks ago (10/29/18). My next appointment is end of January to evaluate progress and see if I need more treatments or I can go into maintenance witch I believe is every 6 months. I have seen my shedding decrease by about 50% at least. My hair is growing in where there was none before and overall I think my hair is thicker. I'm still not where I want to be but I'm hopeful that I will continue to grow hairs and also once the fine hairs that have grown in will get longer and overall a fuller head of hair. I'm also going to switch from levorthyroxine (synthetic thyroid hormone that I take daily) to nature throid which is derived from bovine. I think that may be the root cause of my hair loss but can't be 100% sure. Will post more after January.

I think the pictures show some definite improvement. The sides have a lot of fine hairs growing in and the crown as well. In general the shedding is what I suppose would be considered normal. My hair actuallyh feels like its growing. I have some length now and feels thicker to me as well. I think the part looks a bit better but its hard to tell. With curly hair its easy to fluff up and give the appearance of fullness. I really should have been taking pics when it was wet the whole time. Finished 4th session on 10/29 and am going back end of January to evaluate results. I'm hoping to see more growth by then because I really don't want to keep shelling out $600. each time. Let's see, as always I'm hopeful.! I hope this helps others.

I have had 6 treatments 6 weeks apart. I’m taking finasteride with no side effects. I m seeing results and am hopeful it will get better with more time. It isn’t cheap but I decided to invest the money In making myself feel less self conscious !
Hi, I am assuming you are male, (forgive me if you are not, it is hard to tell), but I don't know if you are aware of the new studies on Finasteride that is showing it is causing a severe drop in sperm counts and subsequent infertility in healthy males who had used this for hair loss. If you are planning to father children in the next 5 years, I would highly recommend you consider not using it unless you are certain you wish to father no children in the future.
My 29-yr-old son is losing some of his hair and has opted to not use this due to this potential issue.
He is (like you) going for PRP, Minoxidil and if needed, FUE hair transplant.
He said his doctor didn't even tell him of the risk of using Finasteride. Luckily, he happened to come across the studies on his own and determined that he couldn't take that risk.
I thought you should know.

Just had 3rd PRP treatment
Just had myh 3rd prp treatement with Dr. R. Plus I have been on mindoxidil prescription strengh pill, biotin and Vit D. I've noticed a big difference in the shedding. Much much better and I think I see fine hairs coming in. The party looks better but still much room for improvement. Honestly, I was hoping to see more progress. Let's see what happens after 4th treatment.

Thanks. Yes...the nasty thyroid ruining our beauty. Whodathunkit? You cover it up really well. Looks like a ton of hair. Please keep us informed if there is a ton of shedding as we all do within the six months or if it stops the shed. Thanks & Congrats
Yes, I think it's easier to hide when you have curly hair. I rely on frizz a lot! It has diminished some shedding for sure. I'm going to ask my doctor to switch my thyroid meds to naturethroid instead of synthroid. Im hoping that will help as well.
How long did you wait between treatments? I just had my 2nd treatment. I haven’t noticed any change yet. I waited 2 months in between my sessions
I go every 4 weeks and have had 3 treatments. I have noticed less shedding and also I think hair is growing in. They say sometimes you have to wait 6 months or more to see ANY results so don't get discouraged. Hopefully you will start to see less shedding shortly if you haven't already.
Less shedding, awesome! Thank you so much for replying
1 time a month for 4 months. Then go back after 3 months to check progress and see if more treatments are needed.
did 4 treatments each 1 month apart now that I have completed my 4 treatments I wait 3 months to go back and evaluate if I need another treatment. My next appointment is end of Januuary which will make 4 months from my last (4th treatment).
