I'm 55 and take good care of myself. I work out regularly and try to eat right and am told I look 45. Started to get jowly and eyelids seem to start hooding significantly over the last few months. Dr Rappaport suggested infini to tighten my skin and get the effects of a non surgical mini lift. So I researched and did it yesterday at 1pm. I did get a cocktail of meds to relax and reduce the pain as well as face numbing cream. Even then it was pretty painful but only temporary. My face was extremely red and I have those grid dots where he did the procedure.
Afterwards it wasn't painful but I was really loopy from the meds and my friend stayed with me till my husband got home. Was so loopy that I mostly slept and only iced once. Next morning I was very swollen and still very red. Iced 4 times and by 10pm swelling reduced a lot. Took the bromelain as directed. (One thing I didn't do the first night was sleep with my head elevated -not easy to remember when your that loopy. In fact I don't remember much after I got home that day. )

Hi! I am 56 year old woman had Infini done on lower face and neck plus had Laser Lipo on chin, jowls and jawline on Jan 25 2016. So almost 2 weeks. I still have some swelling also have a bit of a rash but looks like grid pattern of needles on my neck they are itchy. I still wear "face sling" at night for another month. My neck skin feels like sandpaper! Hopefully, this goes away Benadryl has helped with itchiness. Just seeing if you had "itchiness"? Thank you good luck in your recovery. Mine has been a little rough.

"Sandpaper" feel definitely goes away. "Tough" is right and doctors and Lutronic need to come clean on that as well as providing MUCH better post-procedure instructions. I've found Cerave cleanser non-irritating, use Elta Clear sunscreen even at night: has zinc and niaminicides which are both great for healing skin. Also made spray bottle with water and some pure vegetable glycerin refrigerated and sprays during the helped discomfort.

I forgot to thank you I took your advice sandpaper skin is gone. It will be 1 month on Sunday. My neck is still sensitive when I put lotion on it. I see no major changes yet. But again I just wanted to thank you. I upped my vitamin C and ate clean protein plus the benedryl worked on the itching. He had also given me Valtrex so I never had any red oozing sores he did that as a preventative since some patients had gotten cold sores from the treatment/trauma area. But, I'm still puffy from the Lipo that will take some time.

I had first full face/neck treatment mid-December last year and needed to wait 2 months before I was ready for follow up treatment. When more people have this done the more problems with redness and swelling will be reported. Its beyond my reasoning why practioners would not prepare us for real/extreme side effects after Infini. The post-treatment instructions I got were short and basically said I'd be doing fine, minimal side-effects by Day 2. I brought this up and gave my doc some hassle about it, told him he needed to change the instructions to face REALITY. My 2nd was done about 2 weeks ago and my swelling and redness were both very mild though I believe I was still given a strong dose. I am now seeing both tightening of neck and jawline, husband as well. I think my regimen of 1 gram Emergen-C, 50 mg zinc, Ibuprofen, anti-histamine and increased protein intake has helped heal. Think of treatment area as a wound (thats what is) that needs help developing new collagen. Theres an excellent thread to look up, now closed but still available, from patient in San Jose with "under-eye hollows" in the title. Dr Weiner became part of dialogue, lots of information and some BS. With what I see now I'm feeling positive this will eventually give great results, am very relieved.

Hi. I'm still recovering it is 19 days later. I did 1 Infini on my jaw line and neck, my upper lip area and over my eyebrows to lift them. My neck and jaw line are still light red splotches and very sensitive / itchy. Using a desonide cream 2xpd. Most of the areas except the neck are less sandpapery. I can wear makeup and it covers pretty good. Using FX concealer over the desonide cream. Stills going for gentle waves light treatment 2-3 x p week.

Hang in there. I really hope you see results as im looking into infini myself coz my cheeks are disfigured by acne scaring: ice pick scar, boxes scar, large pores and atrophic scars.
How much was the 1infini treatment?
Thanks again for the reply

Wonder why some drs advertise it as no to little downtime? Seems pretty significant to me

February 7, 2016
I have had The Secret RF (similar/same as Infini) 3x last year (2015) with one more left in my package deal. If I have it done on a Monday, then I am STILL not planning anything important for the following weekend. Most people will not notice the grid marks or swelling after say, 4 - 5 days, but bruising under the eyes and in my case a tremendous amount of skin sheeting off from around my nostrils that I was putting vaseline on was noticeable. The first session was the most dramatic and each subsequent session seemed better. Or did I just know what to expect? I also get very spotty as well, esp around mouth and chin. I take about 3 weeks to get back to normal and schedule sessions every 6 weeks not every 4 as recommended. So I don't get this "little or no downtime" BS. Our clinicians need to give us a realistic time range of recovery rather than just parroting company spin. They always pop me under the Heal-Lite for 15 mins after the needling, just to calm down if nothing else. Is worth it? My word it is! People comment on how nice my skin looks and my old acne scars are much smoother. So I will be putting myself through it all again. I will be taking some strong meds and will hopefully get an operator who won't mind the occasional swear word. It doesn't exactly tickle.

"No downtime" is an outright lie. Look up thread begun by 4ever Young to read many comments from Dr Weiner (main spokesman from Lutronic). There may be an issue with differences between machines heat levels as there is only one available i.e. can't be modulated. I hope everyone who gets Infini and has these side-effects puts some pressure on their practitioners to five REAL oat-treatment instructions and not this "no down time" nonsense.

Day 5
Rozee517February 7, 2016
Still very red peeling and have some raised gridmarks on my neck that are not red. Very slow recovery and I had not planned for this long. Dr suggested I take a steroid for a few days to make it heal faster but I didn't fill the script. Last time I took a steroid I didn't sleep. I wore make up yesterday so I could leave my house for a while. Looks like it will take more than a week at this rate. Any advice?

not a good sign from doctor as steroids are unequivocally inhibitors of wound healing. any quick net search will state this.
February 9, 2016
Hi. He gave me steroids to reduce swelling and inflammation. I don't really have any open wounds.
April 12, 2016
Swelling and inflammation are signs/steps that always accompany a topical wound. Can be closed (bruising) or open, such as the perforations with Infini. Healing has distinct steps that end with new skin layers and/or scarring. Steroids stop this progression, one of the reasons docs give them on a limited basis (except chronic systemic illness like lupus or rheumatoid arthritis).

Should take the steroid. Works very quickly

Any body talk to you about shark oil? Th your Doc and see if he has access. Works. Well. Not cheap, but worth it. I hate steroids! Makes me mean and on
