Three weeks post OP
So tomorrow is the three week mark. Heres how it's been.
The Op was all good, i got to hospital at 7.30am and was 1st on the list so was in surgery at 8.30am!, I was in roughly 5 hours and back on the ward around 3pm. That day i just slept. ALOT. I had a drain in either side which were awful, the right side was so bad as it was sat on a nerve so when they took them out on the thursday evening i felt every single bit of it. It was not a fun experience.
Not having my daughter there and not speaking or seeing her for the three days was bad but due to being totally out of it i just slept so it helpped. I came home on the friday and she has been good as gold, saying 'Mummy new boobies' so knows not to tight squeeze.
I went for my post op appointment last week and was told i could shower and change my own dressings which im due to do but it's freaking me out to be honest. Once i've taken the tape off i'll get another picture.
So far so good. :-)

Happy now Op has been postponed...
So tomorrow should of been D-Day. Today i am glad it's not. This morning when i woke up my period decided to show a week early, my Daughter has a cold coming and my fiance now has to travel up country tomorrow for work. and on top of that i STILL haven't sorted out a post op bra or shirts, pillows or extra child care. Ahh well 15 days to get a move on :-)
Gutted. :-(
So last wednesday. One week before my Op i get a letter saying 'due to unforseen circumstanses' my Op has been cancelled and rebooked for 27th November. After getting worked up, arranging childcare, people booking holidays off work they go and push it back 2 weeks!!!. So now i have 17 days and not 3 to sort out childcare. So far i have managed the week after my Op when my partner goes back to work but after that it looks like im going to have to take each day as it comes!!! Feeling totally deflated :-(
