WORTH IT
A number of months ago I visited Dr. Persky's office for the first time to see about the non-surgical 'rhinoplasty' and he recommended using Restylane's Defyne. That was to smooth out a little 'dent' that occurred over time due to an original plastic surgery misstep by another doctor back in 1978(!) The dent was not obvious until aging and thinning skin really kicked in.
Three months ago I went back for a touch up to nasal bridge, and Dr. Persky also used Defyne around 'marionette' lines, per my request, and that was great, too.
Two days ago I returned for a touch-up to BOTH areas and this time also had some Voluma placed in cheek and marionette areas. There is very little bruising (considering I forgot to stop taking aspirin for several days prior) easily covered with a bit of makeup. My face was a little sore the first night but since then, just fine.
I'm impressed with Voluma thus far and it reportedly lasts longer than some other fillers. I got a late start down this 'filler' road (am nearly 70 now) and really wish I'd started years ago.
Dr. Persky and his staff are terrific; he is very careful not to do too much at once and pays close attention -- he's a perfectionist. Everyone in the office is very welcoming and it's an extremely calm and serene environment. I highly recommend Dr. Persky and his lovely staff.
