Embrace Scar Treatment

I am currently 6 weeks post-op for my tummy tuck and breast lift with implants. I applied one application of Embrace. I am going to start round two soon. My first time did not go the best. I got extremely hot and sweaty on night 3 which caused the Embrace to wrinkle up and come off! I did not want to waste such an expensive treatment so I purchased waterproof first aid tape and taped that baby down! It stayed on the remaining 7 days. It was easy to remove however my skin did get pulled off in one little area.

I am nine weeks post op tummy tuck and breast lift and I had a similar experience with the Embrace Tummy Tuck size sheets. On day-one the sheets began to lift/raise and come off after my first shower. I dried off, pressed the sheets back into place and covered them from end to end with Tegaderm transparent waterproof dressing. I showered daily for the next 10 days and the Tegaderm held the Embrace sheets securely for the entire 10 days. When I removed the Embrace the scar had already become somewhat lighter and flatter. I think the key to a good result is to ensure the Embrace stays securely in place. The Tegaderm helped with that. Two days ago I applied my second 10-day treatment of Embrace using the Tegaderm to secure the sheets in place. I have showered several times and the Embrace is still nice and tight over the scar.

Thank you so much! I used waterproof tape but I also purchased Tegaderm dressing. For my next round, I'll definitely give it a try!
Do you still experience swelling in the lower abdomen?

It’s a great product. Make sure you wipe the area (even over closed incision) with alcohol to make sure all oils and dirt come off. I for one apply it to my patients. I recommend laying down when apply the embrace for the breasts and using paper tape on the edges to make it last the full 2 weeks

Thank you for the tips! My skin is sensitive so I wait several weeks in-between application. Do you think it's still worth while even though I'm not using as directed? I have a few applications left.

I purchased tegaderm adhesive which worked amazingly well. I would apply the to the edges of embrace after applying the strips. I had great results
