ORIGINAL POST
I had the same surgery, Brazillan Butt and Lipo,...
I had the same surgery, Brazillan Butt and Lipo, in 2007. The first experience I was mildly happy until I saw my results after Dr. M. This how I shoud have looked the first time around.
Definitely pick a doctor that has years of experience. My Dr. is truely an expert in his field.

Have you had the same procedure twice?
Yes, unfortunately. The first surgeon was not as forth coming with informationas my second surgeon. he gave me a more realistic view than the first. It cost a bit more than the first, but you can see the results!!! Wehn I called my first surgeon and told him that I was now happy, he tried to bash my surgeon. The proof is in the results!!! And as many comments I get from men and women I think I got my money's worth!!
I'm so glad you are happy,,congratulations! R YOU GOIN 2 POST YOUR RESULTS OR IF I GIVE YOU MY EMAIL WILL YOU SEND SME PICS?
the proof is in the pudding....or I mean in the booty!!! Do you know how many cc's Dr. Marksmann ended up using??....his pics are outstanding! Although his costs are very high, his work is just so impressive...I have read many of his realself posts....he is very thoughtful in his responses...definitely appreciate that!!! I would like to spend less....Dr. Soto in FA is right in my budget, but he doesn't show many pics.........
I am wondering if you would send me some pic to my e-mail. is your doctor in maryland and how are your results?
Yes, but the first doctor knew nothing about the procedure and i foundout the hard way.
$16,000 is a very nice down payment on a home! WOW! I've been reading the testimonials about the PS in Florida who charges $7,000-10,000 less than what you paid for the BBL and Lipo. He seems to be very well known and highly recommended.
Yes, but I decided to invest in myself and it was worth it. Not all doctors have lasting results. My surgery is now a year old and I still have the same results. The reason I had to get it doen twice is because the first surgery went completely away adn it was cheaper. You get what you pay for. The only doctor that I know of in FL is more expensive than my surgeon. He is well known and has beautiful results. He has also been doing it as long as mu surgeon, so buyer beware!!
Hi there, as I mentioned in one of my posts, I was so impressed with Dr. Markmann's work--He is at the top of my list along with Dr. C Mendieta in FA, Dr. Ricardo Rodriguez in MD, Dr. Thomas Roberts in SC and Dr. Armando Soto in FA.
Did the 16K include everything? I am from the New York area---considering flying via BTW--approx 1 hour flight from New York--I am thinking of may be driving down in my mini van (6 hour drive), staying for a week, and riding back while lying down in the back on my stomach to not sit...not sure if this is a ridiculous idea or not? lol If push comes to shove, I will just have to stay in MD for as long as needed given I don't want to compromise my results/investment with any unnecessary sitting.
How soon did the Doctor want to see you post-opt and how many times? Thanks a bunch!! From flatty2fatty
check into taking the amtrak back home. They have sleeper cars which will allow you to lay flat. Its a little pricey .... abut 200 bucks but it's worth it after the cost of the BBL. That is one of my options but I have a much longer ride than you. Good Luck
Although $16,ooo is at the higher end for the BBL, I have been researching the lipo/fat grafting proceedure for years now---I am very impressed with Dr. Markmann's work--I love that his work reveals that the butt is sizeably bigger while also giving craftsman-like attention to creating a beautiful hour glass figure--I don't just want a more sculptured butt and defined waiste, I want to go from a flatty to fatty!!! I also appreciate the responses that Dr. Markmann has given to other real self participants--although his price range will be a major sacrifice for me, Dr. Markmann along with with Dr. Mendieta in FA are at the top of my list.
I'm gonna go with Dr. Armando Soto. My really good friend went to see him in January for a consultation and absolutely loved him!! She said he was super nice and answered all her questions. She said he's only gonna charge her $7200 for the procedure next month. For that price, she can afford to stay in a nice hotel for a couple weeks to recover.
Hi there, that is a really good price! He's clearly a really good Doctor and BBL is his specialty. He is definitely one of the Docs at the top of my list....with such a great price along with his expertise in the field, I might need to put him right at the top of my list! My main thing is that I am looking for a Doctor who is comfortable/supportive with going for the highest amount of volume as possible....I have plenty fat in the right areas for harvesting so I know that won't be a problem! I will definitely not go under 800cc per cheek....I want to be happy with my results.....a nice round butt to match my nice hips!
WOW! 800cc per cheek?! A woman by the name of "Cherokee D" comes to mind for some reason...
That's funny! Actually, 800cc per cheek gives a very nice result...if you really want a nice, round booty. I want to see a visible result...I'm definitely not half-steppin' on this in terms of volume. I wish Dr. Soto had more pics up....I am hearing such good things about him....I LOVE Dr. Marksmann's pics--Dr. Roberts in SC and Dr. Mendieta in FA also have very impressive pics....definitely what I'm lookin' for.......
@flatty2fatty...I think you and I are about the same size, at least for now. I gained 40 of the 80 lbs I lost, but I am back on track losing it again although I am pressed for time.
@ my consult back in Feb., my ps made it absolutely clear that I need to try and lose all the weight I plan on losing BEFORE, because this IS still fat he's placing back there and usually we lose fat in areas we don't want lost( like our boobs). I want thee most fat placed back there narrowing out my waist definitely my back and thighs! I want that shelf look, but enough thighs left to support my plump rear and slim down the hips.
My only major concern is my ps not giving me what I want!! It IS important to have a ps that understands and gives you what you want, because I think, although he does good work, my ps may just end up making me look too "natural"and that isn't the look I want to achieve.
ssed for time.

Exactly, don't settle for less....if you really want a shelf, then you want to make sure that the ps is experienced in giving you just that! As you know, this is such a huge investment of time and money....I would hate to see you disappointed!
With Dr. Markmann I got about 2300 total. He said he will put it in till it came back out.
I am definately going to get this done but choosing a doc is so confusing and I don't want to make the wrong decision.By the way who was your first surgeon?
You mean he place 2300 totally in both cheeks? and then it didn't survive?
Paul Thesiger, In Chevy Chase MD and DC
No, it was a total of 2300. Almost 1200 ccs in each cheek. Most of it survived. I still have a very round bottom and when I gained some weight it actually got a little bigger which Dr. Markmann said would happen.
