Definitely not worth it.

Just want to add another update for anyone considering this procedure. I am 3 months out from my procedure and I still have red stamps though they have faded to nearly unnoticeable for the most part. I still have a new “texture” where you can see where the needles went into the skin, slightly pitted in a way. Definitely not something I signed up for.

Biggest change that is really bothering me is my pores are different now. Any time I get a breakout, bumps that would normally easily be popped (sorry, kinda gross) will not pop. They stay deep in the skin then scar. It’s like their former pore is damaged/gone so there is no where for the bump to release.

I regret this procedure so much. Very VERY minimal tightening. Certainly nothing that is noticeable. Saying there is improvement is a stretch honestly. So expensive and so damaging. 100% not worth it.

Updating over a month out. Still have stamp marks.

It is now over a month since I’ve had ellacor. My skin is completely healed, yet I am left with hyperpigmentation/post inflammatory erythema. You can still see visible stamp marks and very easily see where the needles went into my skin (there are now hyperpigmentation dots on my skin). Any minor tightening is negligible and not worth the price tag or the skin pigment changes. I am afraid these pigmentation changes are permanent. I have started using niacinamide to try fading the squares. I really fear doing any laser treatments to fade the discoloration. I don’t want to make it worse or melt facial fat. So for now I am just using skin care to hopefully fade the discoloration.

This is a hyped procedure that is too new to safely try. I fell for the marketing hype of 3-7 days of down time. I’m over a month out and still must wear makeup to cover the marks. I’m not a huge foundation/makeup person. It seems older individuals are healing quicker with less hyperpigmentation. All the young individuals I have seen who have had this treatment end up with hyperpigmentation. I am no different apparently. And I have the skin type which is supposedly safe for ellacor. Don’t do it.

May Be Worth It…still Deciding.

I am a 31 year old female. It’s been 12 days since my first ellacor treatment and I still have the red stamp marks. They fade each day but are still quite noticeable without makeup and even with makeup especially while working out. I am a bit concerned by the texture. If you look closely, you can see where the needles went in. It almost looks like pores but in the square needle pattern. Orange peel like skin in the areas treated.

Hoping this fades soon. Besides this though I DO notice tightening around my jawline and a slight lifting effect. I would say my lower face already looks slightly “younger” and I know this should only continue to improve over the next 3 months.

If the stamps completely fade, I may go through with it again. However, it should be stated that it is not the “3 days of down time” ellacor claims. I was incredibly bruised, red, and swollen for a week. The swelling improved around day 6 for me. My jawline is still slightly tender and it’s apparent that my skin barrier is compromised. My skin feels irritated at times/slightly itchy at times. I still have to wear makeup to hide the marks (which you can’t wear until day 7 after your treatment). I’m sure this will continue improving daily.

I will update if I think it is worth it in a month or two!
