I had my first lip injections looking for just a little added volume on Feb 27. At first I freaked out with the swelling and lumps, after being told that within 2 weeks I would see a big change. I really feel like I see much better results around the 6 week mark. I love them now! Just longer to get used to then planned which led to some added anxiety.

Beautiful! Did you have two .55 cc syringes? Do you notice a significant change in volume? I'm thinking of getting one 1 cc syringe, but I'm concerned it won't make a big enough change in volume since Volbella adds less volume than other fillers for the same quantity.

I think it depends on how much volume you have to begin with, but I would suspect 1 syringe would not give you much change. I had wanted just a little change (even close family members haven't noticed except to tell me I look great) and still went with 2.

was it injected directly into your lips or above and below them? How much did you use? They look GREAT, but I'm afraid of all the swelling ...

Injections were both above and at the lips. 2 Syringes were used. The swelling for sure freaked me out for the first few days. I would plan on several days at home if you don't want it to be majorly noticeable to everyone. I did ice as well which helped but the first 48 hours was pretty swollen. Even within 1-2 weeks after I still saw swelling. I did not have bruising however, which was a major plus.

You can relax, they look great. I too had filler just to add a little volume. At first my husband called me daffy (as in duck). Mine stayed for about 2 yrs. I still have a small ball left (about the size of a pin head) Still cannot whistle!

I got Volvelka in my lips yesterday and I'm freaking out because my lips are too big!! I'm happy to hear they will change and get better in 6 weeks. Thanks so much for posting!!!
