I'm getting excited and nervous. I'm a 46 year old single mother and business owner getting chin laser liposuction, full abdominal laser liposuction and a tiny tuck, at the same time in 5 more days. I'm going to Dr. Tony Perkins at Elite Body Sculpture in NYC. I'm currently 205 lbs and 5'6".
This site has been so helpful for me in preparing beforehand and I wanted to contribute back
The things I've purchased to prepare:
Make Me Heal pre-opt vitamins and post-opt vitamins.
Arnica Montana - which includes both Arnica and Bromelein. Taken 3 days before and 14 days after surgery. It's suppose to help with bruising and swelling.
Arnica Gel- to apply to areas minus the entry incisions.
Bed pads- basically human wee wee pads to help with the leakage from entry wounds.
Safeguard Antibacterial Soap to use before and after
A bunch of oversized yoga pants and t-shirts.
Gauze tape and pads

I'm having a bit of anxiety. I ended up in the emergency room yesterday because I woke up with vertigo. Turned out to be bad allergies. Dr at er did a test work up and said I'm fine for surgery today. I'm a little bit still woozy but nothing like yesterday. I'm about to head into the city now for surgery. Pray for me ????????

Wow the surgery wasn't as bad as I anticipated. Don't get me wrong there were times that I would feel pain but Dr. Perkins was so quick to keep adding more numbing medicine to the area. Dr. Perkins and his team are just simply amazing!!! They were so comforting and careful with me. Especially helping me with the fact that I had vertigo still from my allergies. He really is a complete doll and all business when it comes to his surgery. So focused. A few hours after I left he called me from his cell to see how I was doing. I love them at Elite Body Sculpture!! As for the pain I was a bit uncomfortable sleeping but mostly because I was congested and it was difficult moving. The Percocets really helped. The pain was more of a burning sensation after surgery. This morning is really a lot of soreness but tolerable that I only took ibuprofen. On a scale from 1-10 the pain is like a 6 or 7. Tomorrow I can remove compression garments and I'll take pics and post. Ciao for now!

Glad it all went well, please post your updates as my lipo is this friday and I am absolutely terrified although confident in my doctor and my future. Hugs and prayers to you.

Are you getting laser liposuction? If so, don't be nervous. I had a lot of anxiety too. And I have a very low pain tolerance. It's not as bad as I anticipated at all. You'll be fine.

Thanks Daisydreams! Yes is laser liposuction, my pain tolerance is high but the thing is that I am a very anxious person, so is difficult for me to stay calm. What you said about your experience brought me peace of mind. Thank you!!! When you had yours? Did you see results already?
