Smart Lipo Abdomen and Flanks

I had my procedure done on Wednesday March 6, 2013. I have been reading reviews since before i had the procedure done so i figured any type of review would be helpful for those planning to undergo the procedure so here i am. I underwent Smart Lipo of my abdomen flanks and portions of my back. I know i am not going to look like a swimwear model post procedure but i have always had a belly no matter how small i have been that i can not get rid of. Prior to procedure i am 5"3 and weigh 130lbs.
I underwent the procedure with general anesthesia as my physician recommended that it would be more comfortable, and he would probably be able to do more work. I don't remember anything from the moment i was given the versed, Post procedure i was in recovery room in a great amount of pain, which was controlled immediately with what ever it was the nurse gave me. I was taken home about 45 minutes later and had to use seat covers due to the large amount of drainage (It was literally a bloody mess!)
The drainage stopped the next morning from all but one of the incisions. I noticed immediate results the first day post op, and have had to take pain medications around the clock for the first two days. I am on day three, still swollen and my abdomen is hard, my back is numb but i am extrememly excited to see the final result and get this daymn compression dressing off. I cant say that the pain is the worst ever as i think it is normal with the trauma my body was put through. I have never had kids but i feel like i had a c/Section and 6 kids were pulled out!!
My upper body feels tight and i find it difficult to sit down or lie down. I am not in as much pain as i was the first two days, and find it getting easier to do things and move around. The pain and discomfort is subsiding on a daily basis. Like i said expect pain as your body is being traumatized but dont expect any miracles. I have noticed a great difference already and am only 3 days post op with a great amount of swelling. I am looking forward to the final results.
Hi there, welcome and thanks so much for sharing your experience with us!
How are you doing? Hopefully your swelling is getting a little better! I know with this type of procedure, results can take upto about 6 months to come through, but hopefully you'll start to see the signs of some results soon.
Please do keep us updated with your progress!
