My breast implants were wonderful when I first got them, but 5 years later and the birth of my daughter, they are lackluster to say the least. Not all that full and the asymmetry was getting more noticeable and really starting to bother me. I can't get through a day without thinking about them and feeling upset. In mid 2016 I suddenly noticed my left breast was larger than the right. It was like one day I woke up and It was huge. It was so much larger I had to stuff my bra in an attempt to hide the difference. I went to my gp and he referred me to a plastic surgeon. I waited months and still hadn't heard. We relocated to Fort McMurray AB for work (from Kamloops BC) and I started researching a new surgeon in Edmonton. I saw all Dr. Toy's shining reviews online and knew I had to get a consultation with him.

I had an ultrasound of my left breast and found out I had a late stage seroma. Apparently this is very uncommon. I waited 6 months to see Dr.Toy but it was worth the wait. He has a calming confidence that reassured me I had choosen the right Dr to take care of me. We talked about my current implants. They are approx 350cc over the muscle textured tear drop gummy bears. The more natural shape of the implant does not compliment my wider breast shape. If you can think about it like my implants are too vertical and should be more horizontal. They also are sagging a little. Sagging is inevitable with over the muscle as there isnt a pectoral muscle holding the implant in place. All there is is breast tissue. I would never recommend getting them done this way. They do not have the longevity, among other things, that under the muscle has. We decided to up the cc to one that is more complimentary to my body shape and size. I am 5'2" and 125 pounds but Dr. Toy told me I have fair sized shoulders that can safely accommodate larger breasts without looking like a [RS bleep]. We decided on 450cc moderate smooth round silicone. At first I was worried that 450cc seemed too much bigger then my current implants, but I fully trust that Dr. Toy has my best interests at heart and understands and respects how I want to look as a woman. I want to look gifted in the breast category, but not too large or distracting.

Protocol says that when you have fluid around your implant they have to do a ultrasound guided Biopsy to aspirate some of the fluid and test it for BIA-ALCL before we could go forward. That stands for breast implant associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma. It is a very rare implant associated cancer. I had to travel to Edmonton to the Lundrum Breast Center to have this test done. I waited a gruling 10 business days, but I got my results back and they are negative! We have a green light to proceed!

I just had the routine blood test yesterday and filled out all the paper work. I'll be faxing it all back today! I also assume I'll be making my payment today as well. It is a lot of money, $13,125 with gst, But I know that finally after what seems like forever stressing out about my breasts, they are finally going to be what I want. T minus 7 days!

Getting so excited and feeling more confident! I am sure I'll be nervous on the day of, but right now I am feeling awesome. I have been taking a natural concoction of sorts. I have been taking probiotics to help my system when I start my antibiotics. 2000mg Vitamin C, 50mg Tumeric, 50mg Bromelain, 50mg Zinc and 1 scoop powdered glutamine. All these supplements assist with tissue regeneration, collagen formation, immune function, speed of healing, reducing inflammation and so much more. I start Arnica Montana the night before surgery. My hope is that I can feel as good as possible as soon as possible. I have a husband, a two year old and we own two businesses. I have work to do!
