Endymed Treatment for Tightening Saggy Neck and Lower Face - Sadly a Complete Waste of Money
I am now in my early 50s and have always looked younger than my age; however, increasingly, over the past few years, my neck skin has lost elasticity so dramatically that it sags and creases into charming little folds when I move my head or hold my neck at an angle and the hideous platysma bands that my neck so proudly sports just make things worse. To put it bluntly, I have the neck of a 70-year-old and, as much as I wish that I did not care a fig, the fact is that I do, and I feel extremely upset and self conscious about the way I look as a result.
I had read about non-invasive skin-tightening treatments, specifically ultherapy and radiofrequency and, having read some terrible things about the former, decided on the latter. To cut a long story short, having commenced 6 sessions of Endymed treatments at a cost of almost £800 I have seen absolutely no improvement in the texture or firmness of my skin - not a hint of new collagen growth to be found. The ugly turkey neck is still there and I suspect that surgery is the only solution in reality.
Perhaps this works on younger skin, but it is hard to see how. I am pretty appalled that reputable clinics provide these treatments when they simply do not work. So, if you are considering this, I would strongly urge you to save your money and don't get fooled by the hype and the hope, as I did.
I should say that the clinician who carried out the treatment could not have been nicer, it was the treatment itself that was useless.
