I had my first visit to the clinic a few weeks ago and was very impressed with the warm welcome I received from the reception staff. I was asked to fill in some paperwork and at the same time had a lovely cup of tea. I was then taken through for a very in depth consultation regarding my concerns of skin tightening, Dr Victoria took her time in assessing the area and advising the best treatment. She has put my mind at ease and I am very much looking forward to my first treatment at the clinic. Cannot wait to visit again.
I am now in my early 50s and have always looked younger than my age; however, increasingly, over the past few years, my neck skin has lost elasticity so dramatically that it sags and creases into charming little folds when I move my head or hold my neck at an angle and the hideous platysma bands that my neck so proudly sports just make things worse. To put it bluntly, I have the neck of a 70-year-old and, as much as I wish that I did not care a fig, the fact is that I do, and I feel extremely upset and self conscious about the way I look as a result. I had read about non-invasive skin-tightening treatments, specifically ultherapy and radiofrequency and, having read some terrible things about the former, decided on the latter. To cut a long story short, having commenced 6 sessions of Endymed treatments at a cost of almost £800 I have seen absolutely no improvement in the texture or firmness of my skin - not a hint of new collagen growth to be found. The ugly turkey neck is still there and I suspect that surgery is the only solution in reality. Perhaps this works on younger skin, but it is hard to see how. I am pretty appalled that reputable clinics provide these treatments when they simply do not work. So, if you are considering this, I would strongly urge you to save your money and don't get fooled by the hype and the hope, as I did. I should say that the clinician who carried out the treatment could not have been nicer, it was the treatment itself that was useless.
