4 months post op

I had gone to the doctor about 8 weeks post op and he said skin would continue to tighten. The results are really settling in and I feel very happy with having made this decision even if my initial recovery was rockier than what is common. I have totally regained sensation and while I'm not down in waist size, my clothes fits much better and with less bulge.

6 Weeks Post-Op

And the compression garment is off! Everything is going well with the healing. 95% of bruising gone, which you would think would be 100% by now but my inner left thigh still has bruising and discoloration (nothing too bad). The skin on my lower back is still slightly numb, but regaining sensation slowly, not that I'm in any rush. I have returned to working out 90% full force. As for flank and lower back exercises, I still feel limited due to slight swelling, or the preceding sensation of swelling if that makes sense. Currently using Maderma, silicone scar patches, and moisturizer with co-enzyme Q10. The dimpling of the surgical site above my right cheek (left in photo) has improved but still evident. Anyway, that's it; nothing out of the ordinary here. Update in 2 weeks and will include doc comments from next appointment then.

4 Weeks Post-Op

Not much to report other than what is expected. 95% of bruising and discoloration has dissipated. Swelling is not felt or apparent. I had an appointment with the doc last week. As you'll see in my pics, I have a dimple above my right cheek where the surgical sight was. He believes in placing the surgical sites in asymmetrical positions for a more natural look, and luckily so, or I'd possibly have two unsightly scars. The other is below the underwear line where both should have been placed (doc admitted to not placing it where he said and where I expected it), but that one looks fine; just my luck. I was told that it is caused by the stretch mark he decided to incise on collapsing on itself. So, I've been treating it with a silicone scar patches, Maderma, and applying a skin firming cream with co-enzyme Q10 to help with the scar as well as the loose skin. Having mentioned the loose skin, Dr. Rodriguez stated that the Vaser should take full effect 4 months after, so there's still hope I'll tighten up more, but I'm not holding my breath. Over all a definite improvement. He removed almost three pounds of fat, and I only for my flanks done!

Dr. Rodriguez and his staff have all the credentials to properly perform my procedure. He was extremely helpful during my consultation and was very frank. I gained some more trust in him when he didn't try to push for additional surgeries or fat transfers since he believed they were not necessary and/or would not be noticeable with the amount of fat he'd take out. He is very present when you're being seen by him and very attentive. Minor hiccups with his staff, but he made sure everything was quickly corrected. Over all very happy with this experience.
