Bodytite and Breast Reconstruction

I wanted to thank Dr. Gregory Baum and all of the staff at CNY cosmetic & Reconstructive Surgery, LLC. 11 days ago I had a new procedure called Bodytite. So far I am over the moon with the results!!! I am a mom of twins and pregnancy left my stomach looking not it’s best!!! It was no longer something I was happy with because of the loose skin. I had consulted with Dr. Baum last year knowing I needed to have my previous breast augmentation (done by a different plastic surgeon, and only having had my sub-muscular silicone implants for 4 years) re-done, also due to pregnancy and my one side consistently hurting and being uneven due to the stretching of the muscles and skin from pregnancy. At the same time I consulted with him about a tummy tuck. Dr. Baum was so honest and explained everything completely to my husband and I, that I truly wasn’t a good candidate for a tummy tuck because it would leave me with more scars than it was worth, and I truly didn’t have enough skin to make it worth the scars. I appreciated his absolute honesty and decided to forgo a tummy tuck but went ahead with my reconstruction of my breast. Ultimately I had also decided to go with a larger silicone implant, still sub-muscular, and he would reconstruct my one side to tact the muscle so the implant would sit where it should. I can’t even begin to tell you how incredible I feel because I am absolutely pain free on a daily basis, but they look even better than the first time I had them ever done! I no longer have pain from my one side sitting lower, and Dr Baum was able to correct that the implant prior had sat on a nerve which hurt. The staff at his office made scheduling very easy from the girls at the front desk, to Cathy working with my husband and I on financing, to his nurse Krystina, the other nurses at his office, to the staff at Crouse where Dr. Baum performed the surgery. He had talked with my husband after the procedure and my husband felt incredibly pleased with his professionalism and the fact that Dr. Baum is so very personable and kind. Having had many of different procedures in my past, that is one thing that doctors often forget is that small act of being personable and friendly instead of being short and blunt. Fast forward to 11 days ago. BODYTITE!!!! Imagine a tummy tuck minus the scars, the downtime, the pain, the recovery time. EXACTLY!!! That’s what Bodytite is!!! I seriously can’t believe the results so far and full results are 6-12 months post surgery. When Dr. Baum told me at a post augmentation appointment that he was going to be attending a conference on this new procedure, I immediately went home and started to research it. The fact that this surgery can be performed on any part of the body, and to get the results I’m starting to see, I’m in absolute awe. This is the stuff celebrities in Hollywood are getting on the down-low and paparazzis can’t tell because there are hardly any scars to even see!!!! The procedure itself was performed in office by Dr. Baum. It’s a very fast procedure, you do not need to be put under anesthesia, I was given localized numbing injections in the abdomen area so it was incredibly comfortable and I couldn’t feel anything, which made me feel relaxed the whole time. The only thing you even feel is just pressure from the cannula. When Dr. Baum explained that it uses RF-induced heat to allow the tissue of the skin to contract itself, and you can pair alongside liposuction to allow for removal of fat as well as tightening of the skin, it just made sense to go forward with this. The heat sensors never get hot on the skin so there wasn’t any burns or pain from it. Dr. Baum explained that traditional liposuction can leave you with no fat, but sagging skin from the removal of fat. With Bodytite, if you choose to pair it with liposuction if needed, the fat is liquidized and removed, followed by the RF-induced heat sensor to help retract the skin. This surgery is so beyond affordable and has so far made me so ridiculously happy, I seriously can’t thank Dr. Gregory Baum enough. Considering this is the only office around to even offer anything like this, he is seriously helping to bring magical things to central New York, restoring youth, and confidence. I feel like my outside is feeling and looking as good as I feel inside. I’m thankful for this!!! Thank you so much again to everyone at CNY cosmetic & Reconstructive Surgery!!!
