About 5 years ago I thought about labiaplasty as I am a keen sportswoman - I even had a consultation. It wasn't vanity that made me want to do it - it was comfort - not just when playing sport, but also every day life. After the consult I thought - hmm......surgery.....just get on with life - people deal with worse! So I did.
About 6 months ago after completing my first half ironman and doing a lot of both running and cycling training I had had enough. I decided to take the plunge so went back to the consultant. Mr Banwell was absolutely brilliant. He understood that I wasn't doing this for aesthetic reasons - it was for comfort and he made me feel at ease throughout the process. He explained that I was unique due to my asymmetrical labia and how exactly my labia would be altered as a result. Everything was clearly explained beforehand: the procedure, the process, the bed rest and time after. So when I had the procedure I felt at ease with everything that happened because I was prepared.
5 months on I felt it was time to reflect and share my experience. Although my initial reasons were for comfort and no man had every complained or commented (!), I came to realise that it also made me feel more feminine and I completely did it just for me :-)

You said that the procedure was not worth it, but your review was positive. Was your "not worth it" label accidental?
