WORTH IT
I discovered Dr Memet Yazar through what turned out to be a fortunate search for "ear repair". For years I had searched for surgeons who could help me with a very specific and challenging ear problem following a previous unsuccessful operation. Following that earlier surgery, my ears had lost all of their natural contours and folds. They had been pulled excessively close to my head and appeared unnaturally flat.
As I researched him further, I learned that he also had a strong connection to visual arts. this immediately caught my attention. I have always believed that aesthetic surgery is not only a medical profession but also an artistic one. Just as there are many people who paint but very few true artists, there are many plastic surgeons but only a small number who possess genuine artistic vision.
The surgery was performed at Acibadem Taksim Hospital on May 2026, which is honestly one of the finest hospitals I have ever seen. Everything was organised with remarkable precision. My surgery date had been scheduled about a month in advance, the payments were handled exactly as planned, and every stage of the process ran like clockwork. Dr Memet Yazar and his assistant, Ms Y?ld?z, are among the most organised and disciplined people I have ever met. There was never any confusion, uncertainty, or unnecessary stress. Everything happened exactly when it was supposed to. The operation itself lasted around six hours under general anaesthesia.
When I finally woke up in the recovery room, one of my first thoughts was whether the doctor had already gone home after such a long day. When I was taken out of the recovery room, however, the very first person I saw was Ms Y?ld?z. Seeing that they had not simply left and gone home filled me with a surprisingly childlike sense of relief and happiness. A minute or two after the nurses brough me back to my room, Dr Yazar himself walked in carrying a glass of water. It may sound like a small gesture, but I will never forget it. At that moment, the only thing I truly needed was to drink water. That night passed remarkably peacefully, without a single question or concern on my mind.
As for the result itself, Dr Yazar quite literally brought my ears back to life. When I first looked at my ears in the mirror, I jokingly thought that perhaps Dr Yazar had taken a shortcut and simply given me an ear transplant. The transformation was that dramatic. My surgery involved several different procedures performed during the same operation. In addition to a complex reverse otoplasty and reconstruction of the outer ear folds, What made this particularly unusual was that the reduction included the conchal bowl and the antihelix of the ear. It was far beyond a conventional ear reduction and played an important role in achieving a balanced and natural result. Conventional ear reduction surgery typically involved only the earlobe and the scapha.
Giving these ears such beautiful curves and contours, as though they had been drawn with a pencil, could only have been achieved by someone with the skill of a sculptor. After 4 weeks still healing but i love my new designed rounded ears.
Finally, I would like to thank Dr. Yazar once again for having the courage to take on such a difficult case, one that many surgeons, including those who call themselves ear experts, would have avoided. His confidence, surgical skill, and artistic vision made this outcome possible, and I will always be grateful for that.
I would also like to express my sincere thanks to his assistant, Y?ld?z. Throughout the entire process, she guided me step by step and was always there whenever I needed help. Her kindness, patience, and gentle manner made a difficult journey much easier, and I truly appreciate all of her support.
