If Only I Could Go Back in Time and Do It SOONER - Duxbury, MA

ORIGINAL POST

I've been wanting to get this procedure done for...

a.vanessa
WORTH IT$7,000
I've been wanting to get this procedure done for over 5 years. Since i was sixteen I've had breasts that were disproportional to my size causing me to hate how i looked. I wore baggy clothes, crossed my arms a lot, etc. to keep attention from my chest. I was also experiencing neck and back pain from the weight they generated.
I can honestly say this was the BEST decision i have ever made for myself. And my only regret is not getting this procedure done sooner. I could have lived all those years in a happier place, but my embarrassment and fear of my doctors not understanding kept me from that.
Its been almost a month since my surgery. I can wear whatever i want, i can run without holding my chest, and most importantly i felt an immediate relief from the pain in my neck and back.
The shape of my breasts couldn't be more perfect. I have thin red scars from the incisions, but that will fade more and more as time goes on.
The worst part of this experience was the day after surgery. But after making it through the first day it wasn't too bad. The pain was much less than i expected so i was happy. And i was just so excited to finally have small breasts i forgot about the soreness. I took one Percocet the morning after, but beyond that i took nothing.

So happy for you. I'm 4 weeks post op and know all the positive things you wrote about. Incredible how we can relate on this site. I'm still pretty sore at times and tender, not ready for running yet. You must be really healing fast. Have a wonderful Christmas!

Thank you! I hope you have a lovely Christmas too. I don't do extended running like for exercise. I meant short spurts as in running from my car to inside the house haha.

Too funny :)....Hey, that's still good. I am feeling vulnerable cause my steri strips are finally off and it's crazy the pics you see of opening incision sites. I think if I protect them from stress it will pay off. I know I'm probably too protective. But in January I will start up my water aerobics if my PS gives the OK.

I would love to know how the water aerobics go for you, I swim daily and its something Im wondering how long it will take to be able to get back into after surgery :)

My PS said ok at 8 weeks to go back. Not sure though about the aqua zumba. It's a very hard workout. Lots of arm resistance. I also do regular water aerobics with mostly over 40 women, I can go easier in that class. I'll be sure to post how that goes.

You sound so happy with the results, I only hope my own surgery goes as well as yours, I know what you mean by waiting, Iv waited many more years than you...and still have 12 more months to wait, but I am inspired by all the ladies on this site to keep looking forward :D

Another 12 months? That's unfortunate, I hope they go by quickly. Best of luck!
