UPDATED FROM Undo2u

Four and a half weeks post treatment update

Undo2u

Well, parts of me certainly look better -- but I must say parts of my face are still in recovery mode. Ears and under chin have had prolonged crusting and swelling. 80% resolved now, I'd say. Face still feels slightly sand-paper-y and tight in spots and dead skin still surfacing now and then. I am going to reserve judgment until the three month mark - at which point I will likely post some kind of picture. My skin is on the dark side of medium and thick. (Italian). May be that lighter skinned types have an easier time of it. This was no picnic. I hope it was money well spent - if so, it will have all been worth it - but honestly, unsure as of it. Will keep you posted!

Thank you for your honest posting and keeping us informed. I hope it will be worth it for you ..wishing you a speedy recovery.

Thanks Deborah. The going is still slow....still peeling at times here and there and my eye area is a bit dark. As I said to Kaitee somewhere above, I'm going to reserve final judgment for a few months - but I will add that all these people who look 15 years younger in the before and after pics after 6 weeks or so - that has not been my experience unfortunately.

I think they usually do some kind of lifting or under skin tightening along with it
May 5, 2018
Hi. It was my understanding that the procedure itself significantly tightens the skin.....and I think I do see some of that - however, my main reason for doing it was textural irregularities and to diminish some scarring, and I'm not seeing any major improvement there....but the worst part is the darkness around my eyes. I believe it is getting better. I may be a slow healer/late bloomer. As I said earlier, I'm going to reserve final judgment for at least another month and will report back!

Definitely post a review and best of luck

Hi, I am 7 weeks post tomorrow. I wasn't able to find all these reviews until I searched renuvion. It seems like I am having somewhat of same results as you Undo2u. I believe we are probably pigmented similarly.i am biracial and often mistaken for Latin. I have had prolonged redness and my doctor, Dr. Wallace prescribed me a typical steroid to help reduce redness. I certainly see tightening everywhere including eyelids but right now not sure the benefits outweigh the cons. Actually, unless I am blown away from my results I would not do it again either. I feel like there are easier ways that don't require this downtime to achieve the same results. My main objective was the sogginess around my mouth and jawline, not my skin tone or texture. so now that my skin tone is blotchy in most places and under my eyes is thicker, redder and has bumpy I am not positive my skin will ever be smooth again..Dr. Wallace did tell me he was more aggressive in those areas so it makes sense that it's taking longer to heal. I will be doing my own review soon & like you reserving my judgment after a few months & hoping I didn't make the biggest mistake of my life. How are you doing now? .

I did the J-Plasma about 5 months ago. Parts are great...forehead smooth, eyelids lifted, tighter around mouth. Wrinkles gone. Earlobes tight and small. But one cheek has Melasmia. The other was burned and scarred. Dr. is working to fix, but slow progress. Also redness under eyes stayed. Notice that ALL After pics have heavy makeup on. I used to go out with no face makeup, not anymore!

Thanks for the feedback, Kaitee. I'm about 7 weeks out and I'm not terribly impressed yet - but I'll reserve final judgment for a few months. Like you, my under-eye area looks funny - in my case dark - but it appears to be improving. I am seeing the Doc next week - I'll see what he has to say. So after five months, since you did have noticeable positive improvement in some areas - would you say (overall) you are glad that you did it or not?
May 1, 2018
Overall, my skin looks better than it did at 30(I'm 63), IF you overlook the melasmia, red underneath my eyes and the scarring. Those are improving a bit with treatment, however. I am thrilled with my eyelids lifting(I needed an upper bleph) and my overall skin tightening(I had enough excess that a facelift had been suggested). I'm just a no-frills kind of gal most of the time and like to slap on some moisturizer and sunblock and go...but no more. Without makeup, I look worse than I did before. So, if the treatments reduce the issues well enough, I will be quite happy. I'm just hoping that my Doc is able to do that, when I see so many stories on here of people who have to live with their scars.
BTW, one treatment has been PRP with Dermapen. Helped improve the scars a bit, definitely improved the redness, but wowie...tighened my neck really well!

I am 3 weeks post J plasma and very disappointed in my results. A few sun damaged freckles are gone but my fine lines and wrinkles around my mouth and under my eyes are about the same. My eyes are very red and I have a few red patches on my face. I’m concerned this will never go away. The recovery wasn’t easy and I feel like it was all for poor results. Does anyone know of the wrinkles could still get better or what I see now is it?
May 5, 2018
Thanks Kaitee.....maybe additional improvement will happen over time? That's what I'm hoping for. I am going to look into the Dermapen thing if need be. I've heard of many people having success with it.
May 5, 2018
Wow Koz - I'm very sorry to hear it. I must say at 3 weeks I was still looking pretty awful and I look better now, so maybe wait a few more weeks for collagen to build? Having said that "I look better now" still not good enough to justify the recovery and expense.....not yet anyway, but I DO see some signs of additional improvement happening. (I'm at about 7.5 weeks post now). Hope it's not my imagination. Going back to the Doc next week. Let's see what he says. How about your Doc? What is he/she saying?
May 5, 2018
Thanks for the encouragement that collagen could continue to improve things, that’s the part I wasn’t sure of. I go to my doctor this week and have a list of questions
May 5, 2018
Kaitee thanks for all the great information. From a wrinkle and fine lines perspective, did you see the results after the old skin came off or did it get better over time with collegan?
May 5, 2018
Please let us know what your Doc says. This mornings report: Right now I seem to be going through another bout of mini-peeling and I see more tightening. (The collagen production we have been talking about?) The discolorations seem to be evening out also. I must say my chin area looks very good - may be the best part. I will add that I had a hard time recovering just *under* the chin, ears, and neck (he didn't go far down on the neck - but that area healed very annoyingly!) Looking forward to your Doc report!

Both! I finally did my review at like 9 months out. Good SPF makeup is crucial.

Sunday - J-Plasma Face update

Undo2u
Lots of dead skin and ick stuff (God knows what) is sloughing from my face. Waking up in the morning is the worst part. The protective face grease dries up overnight and everything feels tight (especially around the eyes) and I can barely open them until I grease up again. The Doc also did under my chin and my earlobes (which is nice!) but they are additional areas to grease up. So basically, I have been a walking grease-bomb. Feel pretty good today (except for the grease-gross which is HARD to get out of your hair when you are trying to be careful of your face.) As I mentioned previously, I am seeing the Doc again Tuesday and will post another update and maybe another picture. Below is a before pic.

J-Plasma for Face. Update - Four Days post-procedure

Undo2u
I had this procedure on 3/20. Today is 3/24. Recovery has continued to be a gooey mess - still uncomfortable but not painful. Today, however, I feel as if I am turning a corner. Still oozing a bit, but swelling is starting to subside and skin does not feel quite as sunburn-y and annoying. The hideousness I saw in the mirror since day one (which was about a 10 on a scale of 1 - 10) is now about a 7. Progress! Saw Doctor Laufer Friday - he was very supportive and says I am doing fine. Going back to see him in three days at which point I hope to look reasonably human.
