Scar Revision
WORTH IT
I'm 20 months post op tomorrow. I had a scar revision; removal of a permanent suture and tissue granulation removed from my epigastric area 16 days ago and I'm soooo glad. I'm feeling much, much better.

Has the scars from the revision healed flat? I'm planning to have it done myself.

Hi. They are so much better than the original. Just raised slightly. I guess it's me. Definitely BETTER!

I did the scar revision June 9th and starting spitting sutures every week starting in the first 2 weeks after surgery that I removed myself. I also used embrace and natural oils and my scars over the past 2 weeks have been raising. I'm in south florida and it seems as though the heat causes swelling in the day and overnight the scars are flat. Have you been able to treat your scars

Hi there! My revision incision is much flatter. It is still dark and healing. I have a prescription for hydroquonine cream that I have not filled yet.

I've had a small, hard, dark area since surgery and now it's indented

Has Dr Davoudi seen it? What does he tell you if he's looked at it. I had Davoudi do my tt 18 months ago today. I've been to 2 other doctors for 2nd opinions about my concerns. I've decided not to have any revisions unless the discomfort I've been having starts again. Just recently it's gotten much better. I still have to wear a Spanx occasionally. I wish you well.

Thank you. I wish you well too. I have an appointment with my primary care doctor today. Dr. Davoudi hasn't seen it lately but in the past, I was advised to keep compressing and I have. I'll follow up with Dr. Davoudi within a month.

Just finished my appointment with primary care doctor. He thinks it's scar tissue and advised me not to bother it.
I believe the tissue granulation was an internal permanent suture being rejected by my body causing tissue inflammation. I feel sooo much better! My doctor completed the revision surgery in less than an hour at no cost to me. He is AWE-MAZING!
