Scar Revision

WORTH IT
I'm 20 months post op tomorrow. I had a scar revision; removal of a permanent suture and tissue granulation removed from my epigastric area 16 days ago and I'm soooo glad. I'm feeling much, much better.

ScarDone's provider

Robert Morgan Davoudi, MD

I learned of Dr. Davoudi from another patient and real selfer. I started contacting his office last Fall. They were always accommodating and sensitive to my case. When I met Dr. Davoudi on December 2, 2014, I fell in love! My consultation lasted more than 5 - 15 minutes unlike other offices I visited. It lasted for about an hour. It was almost like a preoperative appointment. He was charming and reassured me that he could restore my belly. He took time to get to know me and my medical history. I decided to have Dr. Davoudi perform my surgery because he was the first and only surgeon who guaranteed the ENTIRE removal of my scar, the diet and vitamins he orders prior to surgery, and because he told me that he was the very best tummy tuck doctor in Georgia. I believe him. He seems to want to help me opposed to making money. Because I had/have other medical issues that delayed me scheduling, he encouraged me to take care of those issues first so that when he fixes me, his beautiful work wouldn't be cut on. When I called the office I actually spoke to him depending on my reasons for calling. LaToya has been so helpful. She answers every email promptly. I'll update again after my pre op appointment.

You look amazing. Was your revision as painful as original surgery? And for the tissue granulation what exactly was that?
Revision recovery has been a piece of cake!

I believe the tissue granulation was an internal permanent suture being rejected by my body causing tissue inflammation. I feel sooo much better! My doctor completed the revision surgery in less than an hour at no cost to me. He is AWE-MAZING!
I had a seroma in that same area 2 weeks after my original surgery. That could be the source of the granulated tissue too.
Happy your issue was resolved. It's always good to see a great recovery outcome.!!
Thank you. I checked out your profile. Never heard of a robotic hysterectomy. I've had multiple abdominal surgeries before my muscle repair. Good luck during your recovery.
Has the scars from the revision healed flat? I'm planning to have it done myself.
Hi. They are so much better than the original. Just raised slightly. I guess it's me. Definitely BETTER!
I did the scar revision June 9th and starting spitting sutures every week starting in the first 2 weeks after surgery that I removed myself. I also used embrace and natural oils and my scars over the past 2 weeks have been raising. I'm in south florida and it seems as though the heat causes swelling in the day and overnight the scars are flat. Have you been able to treat your scars
Hi there! My revision incision is much flatter. It is still dark and healing. I have a prescription for hydroquonine cream that I have not filled yet.

18 months post op

I've had a small, hard, dark area since surgery and now it's indented

Has Dr Davoudi seen it? What does he tell you if he's looked at it. I had Davoudi do my tt 18 months ago today. I've been to 2 other doctors for 2nd opinions about my concerns. I've decided not to have any revisions unless the discomfort I've been having starts again. Just recently it's gotten much better. I still have to wear a Spanx occasionally. I wish you well.
Thank you. I wish you well too. I have an appointment with my primary care doctor today. Dr. Davoudi hasn't seen it lately but in the past, I was advised to keep compressing and I have. I'll follow up with Dr. Davoudi within a month.
What did the other 2 doctors tell you?
Just finished my appointment with primary care doctor. He thinks it's scar tissue and advised me not to bother it.

Scar Revision?

My TT incision widneed and is raised more in the middle. I hope a scar revision could help. I have used creams, gels, scar away, embrace, natural oils, and massaged. Nothing helps.
