WORTH IT
I made it to Day 6. My advice for anyone looking to get a Tummy Tuck with muscle repair and lipo, accept all the help that's offered to you. Oh and if your doctor offers pay the extra for the Exparel. I promise you when it wears off you will know and see how it was worth it. This procedure is something I had been wanting to do since 2003 after the birth of my last child in 2001. I had many people including my husband who was against me having this surgery. I would hear you are tiny, you exercise, you eat right and you look great. But none of those people gained almost 100 pounds doing each pregnancy. Yes I lost the weight but the skin was still there. My biggest child was 9 pounds 14ozs and before pregnancy with her I was 5'3" and 99lbs. My birth weight with her was 195 poinds. Believe me they ran ever test possible, it's just how my body react to being pregnant. My loose skin on my stomach became my kids security blanket. They would lay and my lap and rub my tummy. My kids are now 20, 19, and 15. I just decided about three weeks ago, it's my time.

I think that's a good idea doing it the day after. But I did mine outpatient and really had no post op recovery plan. I have always wanted to have a TT but didn't have time. I had to have shoulder surgery and would be out for 6weeks, so I just said let me get a TT too since I am out. It's terrible a i wasn't prepared but hey its done now.

Hopefully I get my drains out today so I can go home!!!! They said I'm healing good I'm starting to get some feeling in my stomach and my appetite has returned lord help me
November 15, 2016
That's good the going home part. Because i know i like to eat and I wouldn't be able to workout I ordered the 4 week plan on Nutrisystem. I stuck to it last week and ended losing weight I didn't want to lose. So this week I am adding more calories to my diet.

Oh wait a sec nitri system and you lost weight I'm bout to look it up now because I'm def can shed some pounds

I got it on Groupon. It was 20 meals for around 115, its usually over 250. Now I have to warn you the meals are small. But look into it if you have concerns about your appetite picking up.

Today makes a week since I had my TT, muscle repair and lipo. I am starting to get excited about my results. My post op is scheduled for tomorrow. I am still swollen but understand with surgery that takes time. Recovering at home has been a challenge because I am so use to being able to do what I want to. I feel this week will be great.

I am a woman of few words so that's why I haven't posted any updates. Today has been one of those days were I am happy I had my tummy tuck but I am wondering did I rush it.
So it's week 4 I believe and I am still having issues with my incision. I currently have one side that's healing well but the left side is not. My incision ripped open a few days ago. When I saw my PS today he said it will be okay gave me positive words to encourage me because I know he felt my frustration. So now I am basically taking care of a wound. I have to pack and clean it two times a day. He said it should be good in 3 weeks and that I can still continue to do my normal activities. I am trying to be as positive as possible because I know things could be worst. This year of healing need to fly by. Oh and whomever suggested the back brace, THANK YOU a million times.

No worries...my left side healed much faster than my right side...I had issues with the jp drain on the right side and I feel like it effected my healing process on that side...I was on antibiotics for one week...my surgeon says it wasn't an infection...I am a nurse..I know the signs and symptoms of an infection...if it was not an infection why prescribe antibiotics...some surgeons say things just to keep u quiet...I'm sure I gave him the blues after that conversation.stay vigilant about making sure ur scar heals properly...I don't care what they say

Thank you. I am now packing it and changing my dressing 2 times a day. I am going to stay positive about it and make sure I keep it clean.
Hey! Welcome to the community, and thank you so much for sharing your story with us. Congratulations! Big babies destroyed my stomach too, so I can completely understand why you chose to go through with your surgery. If you're confident enough, it'd be awesome to see some photos. How long did the effects of Exparel last?
That's amazing! Thanks for the tip. I'm sure it was worth the extra expense. Looking forward to seeing your transformation when you're ready, and don't forget to keep the updates coming :)
