I had a consult with Dr. Whiteman today. I am so excited about the changes that will soon take place. I had gastric bypass and lost 80 pounds so far. My starting weight was 350 pounds. It is wonderful to be able to have so much energy. The only hinderance is this excessive pannus I carry around. It gets in the way of my workouts and causes so many skin issues. I have waited so long from this to happen. I did a lot of my research here on Real Self. It was here that I found a wonderful caring doctor. I got so tired of the rashes, trying different things for relief of the rashes and odors. It had gotten to be expensive by these different types of products! Also, I had to by my clothed too big so they would fit over this hanging belly flap. I will keep you updated on what date I will choose to have my tummy tuck.

Thank you Angeleyes777..
I have to pay out of pocket here. I have insurance but they don't take the kind I have. All other consults I had requested my BMI be within a certain range even though I am suffering from so many rashes, etc. I work out 3-4 days a week but afterwards I have to hit the shower asap or I the sweat underneath this flab will get irritated and I will scratch myself raw!

New Doctor

I have a new Doctor, Dr. Mark Walsh. He was also a wonderful and compassionate doctor. So was his staff. I was approved by my insurance for medical necessity. I have a condition called congenital hip dysplasia and need a total hip replacement. It affects my mobility and I have come too far to not be able to work out and keep off the weight I have worked so hard to lose which is 110 pounds. My surgery date is April 6th. I am nervous and excited but I know that God will bring me through just fine like He always have. I will post photos of before and after surgery later.

My surgery date is tomorrow and I am so nervous but I know God got me and all will be well. This is a step towards wholeness and being well. I like that It will help me look better but this journey is so much more to me. Its getting my mobility back and the end of these endless rashes. I will update as soon as I can after my surgery.

I am doing well and it was not as bad as I thought it would be. Really sore walking around but it definitely helps. They removed 20 pounds of skin and tissue. Go home Monday hopefully.
Congratulations on your weight loss. Much better days are ahead for you girl. You will feel like a new woman once this is over with.
That would be fantastic.
