ORIGINAL POST

This is a preliminary review of my breast...

This is a preliminary review of my breast lift/augmentation journey. I have done TONS of research online not just regarding the actual surgery and recovery process, but revision surgeries as well for the future surgeries I know I will need. I even researched what its like to get a MRI with implants, since I am getting silicone. With silicone, I will need to get a MRI once every two years or so even though I'm only 32 years old. So I wanted to know what that would be like.

I have made my non-refundable $3,500 deposit with Dr. Whiteman's office, and will be using my CareCredit card to finance the rest of the procedure but with no interest for a year. I am extremely nervous about 1) being put under, 2) the size I chose since I do not want huge [RS bleep] boobs, 3) the recovery (since I have a low pain tolerance), 4) the overall outcome. This is not a cheap procedure, so if they don't come out like how I envision them, I will be so sad. But let's think positive, they are going to look great; right?! When I met with Dr. Whiteman during my consult I told him that I already had experience with big natural breast. So what I want are breast that aren't too big or too small, but nice ones that look perky and fit my frame, and I don't care about them looking natural. I want to be a Full D cup or DD cup. I do not have kids, but once I do, they will drop and will look natural then. But in the meantime, before I have kids, I want to walk around with nice fake boobs! (Don't judge me!)

I am 5'7" which is important if you will be following my augmentation journey for comparison reasons. Surgeons don't care about the patients weight so much as they do the patients height, rib cage measurements, and shoulder measurements. But for inquiring minds, I am currently 175lbs/ size 12. I plan to lose 30lbs total, but I need to lose at least 15lbs prior to my surgery date. My goal is to be 145lbs and a size 7/8 or 5/6 eventually. I will update the RS community on that as well.

The intended specs for surgery are as follows:
- 500cc HP silicone
- under the muscle
- opted for the pain patch in addition to pain meds since I HATE pain. Addtn'l pain meds are $40
- currently a deflated D cup, 5'7", and 175lbs, breast will probably shrink more prior to surgery date

FYI: The reason I am getting a breast lift w/ implants is because I have lose (so far) 44lbs. This left me with saggy/deflated/old lady [RS bleep]. I went from a F cup to a shriveled D cup. I do not miss having F cup breast, but I do miss the upper pole fullness and my nipple looks so sad. It points down to my toes. I always tell people, "Yes, God made me perfect, but I screwed it up when I gained 70lbs and yo-yo dieted for years." God also blessed surgeons like Dr. Whiteman with a skill/practice to fix people like me. So there is my disclaimer.

My surgery is scheduled for Dec 4th. Already I have had a dream that on the day of my surgery, a meteor crashed into earth making my breast augmentation too good to be true. Let's pray that's not the case (lol). I will post an update on November 24th, which is the day of my pre-op.

Hello and many blessings on your journey... I have my breast augmentation with Dr. Whiteman about 7yrs ago, back then silicone was not available :/ (but I got saline). My experience with Dr. Whiteman, was awesome since my first visit to the office, thru my recovery room. I'm saving to replace my implants, but these time I'm thinking getting silicone ;) Definitely I will choose Dr. Whiteman again. He's and awesome human been. Best Wishes and keep us posted.

OMG; thank you soooo much for that! I'm excited about the final outcome, but nervous about the recovery since I have a low pain tolerance. I am getting the pain patch along with prescription meds. I will post an update once I have my pre-op on November 24th!

I also have low pain tolerance. I hate pain pills too. For surgery I sucked it up. I needed the pain pills and muscle relaxors as scheduled for 3days.. after 5 I was ok. The first night ice was my best friend.. I needed help getting up . I was stuck lying flat until my sister would pull me up... I switched to a recliner on night 2 so I would be partially up. I still needed help reaching high or getting a tight shirt on for a couple weeks. You will be so happy. The recovery seems like a blur to me now. Probably from the drugs. My sister took care of me for a week. Toast I took with my pills and drank lors of water. If I did it again I'd go bit bigger. Good luck ! Its so worth the money!-

Pre-Op Appointment - Complete

I met with Dr. Whiteman today and it was a whirl-wind, but in a good way. This appointment was much more informative than the consult, and really made me feel like "OMG; this is really about to happen." I have been on several consultation appointments with other surgeons, but with Dr. Whiteman I felt extremely comfortable and re-assured that I had made the best selection.

After hearing and reading so many breast augmentation recovery stories; I decided that the best thing was to let Dr. Whiteman use his professional opinion on which size I should choose for my body shape, height, etc...Here are my stats and what we settled on:

Height: 5'7"
Weight: 164lbs
Wide Chest frame (currently 36D cup)
So we decided on:
550CC Round Moderate Plus Silicone Implants

I did not show him a picture, and there was no celebrities that I wanted to look like. I told him that I am a professional business woman, not a stripper, and do not want a [RS bleep]-star look. I want to look "sexy yet professional". Its a thin line between being sexy, but not so sexy that when I hold meetings my breast are a distraction. At the same time, I don't mind if they look "sort of" fake either. I don't have kids, but once I do I'm sure they will drop and look natural then. Meanwhile, while I'm young I want nice perky boobs, just not over the top.

I have my prescriptions, instructions, pillows, over-sized button down shirts, sweat pants, slip on shoes, soft foods and animal crackers, ginger-ale, and Halls for my throat (overly prepared). My surgery is at 7AM on Dec 4th. I was told to be there by 5:30AM since I will be his first patient that day. I am nervous, but ready to get through the recovery process. I can't believe its next Friday!

Prepared for War!

I have done so much research, and I am overly prepared for this surgery ( I think). I attached a picture of some of the things I have for my Recovery. The food list is as follows:
Sugar-free jell-o
animal crackers (1 portion)
Atkins trail mix
sugar-free applesauce
Light Progresso Soups
Diet Ginger-Ale
Water
Gatorade

Then I went to the clothing section at Wal-Mart and found;
- several designs of front close bras for $5.98 and up...
- a loose zip up top that is nice and warm for $10

I was told to buy a bra or two in my current size, and after a few days I can buy more that actually fit if I need to. There are a few things I wanted to let the RS community know that I feel other reviews left out:
1. If you are taking diet pills of any sort you will have to stop 2 weeks prior to surgery.
2. I was told to wash my body with an anti-bacterial soap a week prior to surgery. I got mine from Wal-Mart and chose SafeGuard soap .
3. You may want to get some SinEcch to help with the swelling and bruising. Ask your surgeon or a spa clinic. You may even be able to get it on Amazon.
4. If you are on your monthly cycle at the time of surgery ( I will be), you have to wear a pad not a tampon. I got the overnight ones. Bring a few with you to surgery so the nurses can change your pad after your surgery. If your not on your cycle, bring a couple of pads just in case it comes early!

Most of the advice I researched online my surgeon said to ignore. My surgeon gave me specific instructions to follow for my particular surgery. Apparently everyone gets similar, but different instructions to follow. The BEST advice I could give anyone at this point, is to listen to your surgeon, and ask specific questions regarding your surgery. If you don't feel you can ask an unlimited amount of questions due to his or her patience, choose another surgeon. You need to feel undoubtedly comfortable with your surgeon.

I won't post again until my surgery is over. I will try to post the day of surgery but there are no guarantees.
