I had my 1st consultation with Dr. Davoudi on 3/26. As soon as I walked into the office I felt welcomed. I sat in the waiting room about 10 minutes then taken back. I was instructed to put on the robe, Dr. D came in shortly after and he is amazing, made me feel so comfortable listened to what I want, measured me and told me exactly what he could do to my body to help me reach my goals. Having tummy tuck, breast reduction from 38DDD, lipo of upper ab, flanks, lower back and bra rolls. Called today 3/30 paid my deposit and am scheduled for May 8th. No need for any other consultations. Super excited and scared at the same time, reading about all the pain and the hard recovery is quite intimidating.

I have 5 more weeks (35 days) to go but it seems so far away. I didn't realize that I was going to think so much about the surgery, recovery and the my final results. I have been glued to RS every spare moment I have, this can't be healthy, lol.

It IS healthy as you are filling yourself with all the information you can, positive vibes you need, and putting yourself into the best "head space" of your own ability to take this leap on the next great personal journey of yours! You have to own this procedure. You must be the one who completely validates this decision. This is a very personal decision. No one can walk it BUT you. You need support to be beside you, yet...you will be taking the steps toward a new you, not just on the outside, but the inside too, alone. It's a personal thing. However you choose to validate your decisions...own them. I support you! Someday, I will need the same from you and others. 35 more days!!!! Woo hoo! Blessings, dear.

Thank you for keeping up with my post and your encouraging words. I have not told anyone except hubby and daughter and then what I've shared here on RealSelf. So I do appreciate you! Thank you.

I'm glad I came to your profile! Well, if you'll have it, I will give you some pointers as a survivor of a mommy makeover. Be sure that you ALWAYS stay positive. I was an emotional rollercoaster, but I always knew I wanted to have surgery because I deserved it & I had worked so hard to get my body right before I decided to go for a consultation. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING that you need to have is a dedicated support system available to you 24/7. That means staying with you to take care of you. Right after surgery you literally can't do a thing for yourself. You can't lift your arms, you can barely walk...you need help to sit on the toilet & get up from the toilet. Someone will have to cook your meals, care for your kids, wash your clothes, etc. So, have that squared away. Make a schedule, precook & freeze meals if you have to so your family can just heat them up, buy some movie theater gift cards for the kids to go have some time out for you to rest, etc. DON'T DO ANYTHING the first few days, except get up to walk like you are required by your surgeon & to go the bathroom. Take your pain meds every 4h. You'll be glad you did. And know, the day of surgery, & post op day 1-4 are Hell, but man, when day 5 rolls around, you start to feel like you are gonna make it. Then, all of a sudden, you're up & walking by yourself. STILL - don't over do it. But allow your family to take care of you. The most crucial time to heal is those first few weeks. Buy a really soft cotton camisole to wear under your binder (it'll save you from getting some friction rub burns from the binder. I figured this out 5d after surgery). Get your armpits waxed before surgery! Idk if you drink protein drinks or not, but if you do, it's a great idea to have some stocked in the fridge. You need lots of protein after surgery in order to heal properly. You also HAVE to drink lots of water & stay hydrated, or you'll be sick. I had a hard time eating big meals for the first few days, so drinking those shakes were a great way to get in my protein. Wear an oversized T-shirt to your surgery appointment. Have a few at home to wear while you are still in your binder & until you switch over in to your compression garment. Have some snug but comfy sports bras as well. I listened to Pandora on my Android the first few days b/c my husband kept everyone away - so I was able to let my pain meds work & just relax.
Listen, you're going to do great! It's so exciting! Be prepared for the fact that you are going to be in some real pain for the first few days. But you had 4 kids, so you're no cupcake...& like my other posts said, this surgery is NOT for cupcakes!!! I am so excited for you & can't wait until you have your surgery. You are going to look amazing. Be sure to get tons of before pics...your date will be here before you know it! Best of luck & God bless!

I am trying to stay and think positive. I absolutely want to have the surgery I have waited for this for half of mile life that is over 2 decades, I have no doubt about wanting this for myself. I have been blessed with a very supportive team. Both my husband and daughter will be there to assist me with anything that I need. I love water and I love protein and I am a pretty clean eater. I will be getting camisoles and I never thought about waxing armpits but it does make sense. I have a high pain tolerance but reading many of these reviews is pretty scary. Thank you for all of the pointers, your motivation and your vote of confidence. I am very excited!!! As of today I only have 3 more weeks, time is flying by.

So excited!!! Still waiting to see if my insurance is going to cover my breast reduction or if I will have to pay out of pocket, I should know by the end of this week. I am hoping for Approval! I have a list of some of the items that I will need for pre-op, for post-op I have list that I have obtained here on RealSelf. I have not gone out to buy not the 1st item. I have been so busy with work and just have not gotten around to it. I don't want to wait until the last minute and then be rushed. Maybe I will make time and go this weekend. Am I ahead of schedule or am I behind? I have no idea. I have been looking for wish pictures and will be posting them soon. Before pics, well I don't know that I am that brave.
