3 weeks Post Op

While I'm still sore with some swelling, the bruising is gone now. I am moving slowly, because I don't want to tear or rip anything. The area around my groin is still red with slight bleeding and leakage. It's very hard to keep it dry, but I am trying different "tricks" to keep it dry. I also keep gauze with a little powder on it during the day and sleep in commando at night with the ceiling fan blowing on me to dry it out. I've also started the scar cream in the lower area of the scar since it has started healing. Here are pictures of my scars today. I'll keep you posted. I hope this helps anyone considering a thigh lift.

Post Op Doctor Appointment

My appointment went very well. All bandages and tape were removed. Then a small strip of microfiber tape was added to the lower end of the area and ointment on the area closest to the vagina. I had some minor lipo on my stomach and upper back/underarm which had a couple of stitches removed too. All looks good. I can take a shower...yeah!! I have my scar cream, but have to wait 10 days before I can use it. It is a little uncomfortable having the areas open so I'm going to put a little strip of the microfiber on the same area as the nurse after my shower. All I can do is wait for the swelling to go down as I "walk like a penguin" and apply ointment. Dr. Whiteman says the swelling will decrease in another week.
On another note, I appreciate my doctor for keeping it "real". I am a "thick" woman and my thighs will still touch after all of the swelling has gone down, but I will feel more comfortable as I continue my journey to a better me.
(I'll post my before and current pictures later this evening for all to see.)
