Hi everyone,
I wish I would have started posting on her prior to my journey, but never the less...here is my story!
I had my first child at 18! I gained umm....80lbs. You can say I really enjoyed being able to eat what i want! hahah. I had an amazing pregnancy, until week 38. I went in for my check up and she was not turned yet, so we did an ultrasound, and also found out that not only was she breeched but, I have been leaking amniotic fluid and the baby was not moving. My appt was at 9am, and she was born at 11:01 emergency c-section. Never the less I was blessed with a beautiful 8lb, baby that was perfectly healthy! Due to my first c-section, when I got pregnant with her brother 3 years later, I decided to watch what i ate, exercised, and also have a planned c-section with him. I only gained 48lbs with him. Now I have two amazing children 15 and 11, and I have worked every day since they were born to get my body back. I have worked out with a trainer, not to mention I ride horses for a living. So, I would say I am in good shape, but just like everyone else my stomach was a different story. I wear tight clothes to work every day! (breeches, tall boots, and tight shirts) I have to wear so many different undergarments, and tuck my stomach in, its embarrassing in the show ring, its just gross. I didn't realize it but I was depressed, didn't have a sex life, and hated the summer time. In the winter I can wear jackets to cover my mid sections. In September 2015, I broke my ankle (shattered it) I had two surgeries and now I have two plates and 10 screws. During this time, I had time to reflect on my business, my life, kids, husband, and future. I was bed ridden for 12 weeks, and had to go through intense PT. February 2016, I made the decision to take care of me, as that was the missing key in all of this! My life changed at age 18, and i sacrifices so much to take care of my family and children, I never got a chance to enjoy my twenties like some! SO, I scheduled my surgery for April 11 2016, and Boy I am so happy that I did!

Similar to you, I had my first baby at 20. My tummy was never the same again. No matter how thin I was, I'd always have loose skin to hold in by wearing granny undies lol! After two more kids who are now 19 and 24 (eldest is 28), I got to the age of 48 and decided that I wanted to feel good about my tummy again. It was time for the tuck! I'm now 6 days post op and feel it was a good decision.

thats great! Did you have your surgery on April 11? I did, Im today post opt 7. Doing great, no pain, actually had to tighten my binder today to see if I could help flush some of the fluid out of my tummy! Pain is under control, just resting, I go back to teaching tomorrow. We will see how I feel! hopefully I will fill up to it~

I had my surgery on the 12th. I don't have any pain either, just strain to the lower back when walking. How did teaching go?

Still draining a lot, at least it is not bloody color anymore, its more of the yellow color. I am not doing a lot but resting. Overtime I get up to walk my back hurts so bad. Im working on stretching up. I have had a new pain start in my right leg. along the outside thigh. its like a stabbing/burn pain, sometimes when I walk, and as I'm siting down. I have no idea what it is! Pain is good, Im still taking pain meds at night so I wake up a bit groggy, but I work out of it. I had my first BM yesterday! Thankgod! I hope it becomes a bit more regular now. Other then that. Im feeling great, and Im hoping to go back to my farm and teach lesson tomorrow. I would like to shower but Ive been told I have to wait. Anyone else shower with their drains in?

I showered after first drain came out at day 7 or 8. My second drain was in for almost four weeks. Dr. Davoudi was my surgeon also.

I am concern about you leg pain, ? DVT
April 19, 2016
so its weird its not always there just when I walk and stretch up and or sit down. I believe it is pinched nerve, I have started on scar massage and it has worked on the pain!

I'm at 4weeks post op and just got second drain out. I showered with mine every two days religiously, no worries there. Back pain will pass, leg pain sounds like sciatic pain. Might bet better with back as being hunched over causes a lot of problems.
April 19, 2016
wow 4 weeks! did you have to put anything over it when you showered?
April 19, 2016
Nope, sometimes I had it on my belt thing on me or just on ledge was fine. Like it wasn't even there. Never an issue with drains other than so much fluid. I still had 30/40 per day when we pulled it 2 days ago but I was ready after 4 weeks. I had my tt on March 23 :)

I had my tummy tuck when my daughter was 1 she's now 9, 3 days after surgery I took a shower but have help from my husband a lot of help afterwards I was tuckered out but it felt great but I took a shower you see I take almost 3 showers a day so after the third day I couldn't stand it anymore hope that helps good luck

what about the tape. What did you do to re tape your incision
April 19, 2016
I had the pain in my leg too ( I am 7 days post op). It started 3 days post op. I have had 2 injections for meralgia paresthetica. The pain was awful. It seems better now and I hope it stays away. Apparently a stitch can hit the nerve during closure causing the symptoms. Are you able to stand upright? I cannot and am getting frustrated and my back is killing me....
April 19, 2016
Hey! I can not stand all the way up yet. Today makes post opt day 8. I will say every day it does get better and I have been really massaging the incision and I think it makes a difference. Monday I go to get my stitches out so hopefully it will be better then as well. I still have two drains in and haven't showered. I think I'm going to go tomorrow and get one out and hopefully i can shower then as well

So glad I'm not the only one! (Sorry!) I have had 6 kids and thought I was pretty tough... This surgery has made me realize I'm not. I didn't have drains so that's lucky. And no binder...PS wants all the blood flow to the incision. Maybe a binder would make my back feel better. Problems!!

Sorry for the late post! My girlfriend was over and brought me lunch today so I haven't been very active on the website. I am still home by myself :( but doing fine! I am able to pretty much care for myself except lift anything, open the dishwasher (lol), and get anything heavy out the of the fridge etc. I live in my nightgown still. I still have both drains and haven't taken a shower. My PS said after my first drain is removed I can shower, but I fell like that will never happen! lol. I did sponge bath yesterday though so that felt good, I just want to wash my hair. I drove yesterday for the first time. not far but i did. I have noticed that I am standing up straighter every day. Still have a bit of pain in my leg but I know now what it is from and I massage it and it feels so much better. I did tighten my binder in hopes it will help the fluid flush out a bit faster. Did anyone else binder not sit right? it fits fine on the left side but not on the right it just rolls up. I try to keep it down but it doesn't stay. I seem to have a lot more swelling on the right side as well like upper hip where he did the lipo. I have been putting an ice pack on it in hopes I can bring the swelling down. I have taken 1 pain pill today!! Trying to only take them at night if needed. I tried to prop myself up in the bed and that didn't work. Im still in the recliner. I just feel like i sink to deep in the bed and I can't pull myself out. I have a good bit of independence being down stairs and in the recliner. I was planning on going back to work today, and teaching, but it was 82 degrees out and I didn't want to sweat with the binder on and not being able to shower....just wasn't feeling it. Im going to shot for this weekend to go back to work that will make me post up 13 & 14 days! I have noticed I can not eat much, I try to get up and eat a bowl of rasin bran in the am, soup for lunch, and cuties to snack on, and dinner has been maybe a couple of bites of meat, and a few bites of veggies. I just become to bloated and tight. And I have to be careful bc I'm not being active right now! Anyways, thats really it for now! I hope everyone else is doing good and keeping positive.

You look great. What are some questions we should ask the doc before the TT. Im thinking of getting one but Id have to travel.
April 19, 2016
Like with the drains them being 9hrs away i wonder how that will work
April 20, 2016
I had trouble with the first binder also. Dr. Davoudi's office sells another binder that I liked much better. It had two "straps" that come around. It was about $45 I think

Dr. Davoudi performed my breast augmentation 10 years ago. I have never had any problems with my breath and have never regretted having the surgery. I'm so glad to see that he is still in practice. He is a wonderful surgeon.
