I had full face and neck laser resurfacing...
WORTH IT
I had full face and neck laser resurfacing treatment and fat grafting and PRP. Mr. Golchin performed the procedure in the Beacon Clinic in June 2017. At all stages prior to admission to the Clinic I was reassured by Mr Golchin and his staff at Beacon Face and Dermatology. I was put in contact with a lady who had undergone the procedure and I found her story helped to put my mind completely at ease.
On the morning of the procedure I was admitted to Beacon Clinic at 7 a.m. The nurses there are so professional and kind. I was wheeled down to the Surgery room where I was met by Mr Golchin and the Anaesthetist. They both spoke to me and once again reassured me that all would go according to plan.
In the Recovery Ward I was aware of cold packs being placed on my face and neck. I was very groggy which was to be expected. My face was swollen but I was in no pain or felt any discomfort at all. Mr Golchin visited me at the end of his busy day and said he was very pleased how everything went. I left the Clinic that evening. The following day (day 2) my face was very swollen and red but still no pain , just a feeling of pressure. I applied icepacks to my face and neck continuously throughout the day and kept my face moistened with vaseline.
Day 3 - 10 I used the facial wash 3 to 4 times a day to decrust and afterwards applied the rescue balm. My face felt very sensitive to touch for the first day or two of decrusting but I could see and feel an improvement each day. At no stage did I need medication for discomfort or pain but I did take Periton at night. This was for a slight itch during the healing process but also helped me sleep.
By day 6 all the crusting was gone and my face had red/pink patches. I had no setbacks and everything went according to plan. I slept on my back (which I found difficult) and used two pillows which I felt reduced the swelling very quickly. I stayed indoors for the 10 days and had no problem with this - a few good books and yoga worked wonders.
Now almost 4 weeks later my face and neck look amazing. All my worries concerning the procedure were unfounded and I would highly recommend this treatment by Mr Golchin.
