Coolsculpting is a Joke!!! Don't Waste Your Money!

10/23/17-Had consultation with Erica in the office of Dublin OBGYN Dublin, GA. She said I should only have t have 1 treatment and I would get the treatment that she received the second time on her abdomen. She’d had twins and the procedure done after the twins. She said she went from a size large to an extra small. So I was sold. Plus this was my OBGYN of whom I’d been a patient in that office for 13 years and a doctor from that office delivered 2 of my babies! I did ask how had they been providing the coolsculpting procedure and Erica said since June/July 2017. I asked about others that had been treated and she said that others had seen favorable results. I asked if they had any before and after pictures. She said before and after pictures of her and other staff was on their facebook page. Maybe this should have been my “first red flag”! No pictures of “actual” clients provided to a prospective client!?
Of course I did some research of my own on the internet and especially this website “Realself”. I called Erica back to ask some questions and she answered them and I was a little skeptical. I told her I had been doing some research and she basically advised that I not focus so much on what’s on the internet.
12/18/17- On the day of my treatment, I found out Erica had resigned and Tiffany would be completing my treatment. Tiffany was a 19 year old who had a 1 year and was in charge of the Coolsculpting division in my OBGYN’s doctor office(My first “red” flag). I informed her of my initial consultation with Erica and that she said I would get the treatment that she received the second time. Tiffany said she did the coolsculpting procedure on Erica but had not seen her since she completed her second procedure (2nd “red” flag). She said that Erica had resigned because Erica was fulltime and Tiffany was part time and head of the coolsculpting division. Tiffany only worked a few days a week and mostly afternoons on those days because she was a full time nursing student (3rd “red” flag). Tiffany said she didn’t know what treatment Erica was referring to. I showed her the sheet that Erica gave during our consultation.. She said that was a larger applicator and that’s not what I needed because I was not large enough for that applicator. She said she would use the smaller applicators which would be the same price but target the areas better than the larger applicator. Tiffany said that I should lose at least 25% of the fat. She said she was sure that I should see some results. Tiffany said the applicators start working from the middle and “feather” out to break up the fat outward. Therefore, the smaller applicators would work better. She said the larger applicator would not get any fat on the top part of my stomach and I told her Erica said that it wouldn’t but after the bottom part was gone the top wouldn’t look as big. Tiffany said she didn’t think I would be happy with that. I didn’t think so either. So I agreed with Tiffany, since she was “head” of the coolsculpting division. She said the price would be the same as what Erica quoted me. Tiffany basically said the Erica was giving clients “false hope”. Tiffany also told me that she’d had her stomach done twice. She said I would probably need 2 treatments. I asked her about before and after pictures too. She said they were on their facebook page.
I was contemplating not getting as many areas done to save money for the second treatment, if needed. Tiffany assured me that I should see some positive results in my abdomen. She made the statement, “Older white ladies with money come in to get the procedure and they are told that they will not see results and they get it anyway.” There was actually a client that came in on my treatment day who was not getting favorable results and that concerned me (4th “red” flag) Tiffany assured me that she was positive that I would see results. She was, however, not as positive about the outer thigh and suggested that I not get the outer thigh done. So I didn’t. She was kind of “ify” about the inner thigh but I got it done anyway. She said my chin should have positive results as well.
So despite ALL of those “red” flags, I foolishly proceeded to have the procedure done and signed a document stating that results may not be favorable (keep in mind Tiffany verbally stated I would see positive results- “verbal” means it will definitely be denied later). I would have had better luck playing the lottery! After being there for 3 hrs, Tiffany asked did I want to go get some lunch (this was going to be a 2 day session, so I wanted to just get done!). I told her that during my consultation with Erica, she said lunch would be provided. Tiffany left the room and came back with snacks. The procedure took 2 ½ days. I had to come back a third day because the applicator slipped off my chin on the second day. Tiffany did the treatment on day 1 and most of day 2. She introduced Shana on day 2. Shana treated my chin on the third day.
1/18/18- 4 weeks. Shana took my photos. Positive results in chin only. Did not see or talk to Tiffany (conducted consultation on day of treatment, took initial photos, and performed treatment. Keep in mind she’s also in charge of the coolsculting division in this doctor’s office)
2/15/18- 8 weeks. Shana took my photos. A little more results in chin only. Did not see or talk to Tiffany.
3/19/18-13 weeks. Shana took my photos. Did not see or talk to Tiffany. No visible results in 13 weeks, except in the chin area. Shana said she didn’t see any results and she would talk to Tiffany and Dr. Chism (OBGYN in the office). Shana said she would be calling me.
3/26/18-Left message for Shana to call me. No return call on that day.
3/27/18-Left message for Tffany to call me. She called back about 7:15pm to say she had not looked at any of my pictures, nor had she had a conversation with Shana. She said she would look at it to see what went wrong and the lady in charge of coolsculpting (Kelly) was coming on April 4, 2018. She said Kelly will see what went wrong too. Keep in mind Tiffany is in charge of coolsculpting in “this” office and she performed my treatment. It had been 3 months and Tiffany is clueless as to how my treatment went! Tiffany said either wash she would call me back before the 4th. She didn’t. Before hanging up, Tiffany did ask had I lost any weight and I said about 3 lbs but keep in mind, coolsculpting is not a weight loss procedure. Two weeks after my treatment, I was running 3 miles 4 days a week and eating healthier. I was trying to make this work!
4/2/18-Shana called to say the lady in charge of coolsculpting (Kelly) would be in on the 4th at 10am and she was going to ask her to look at my pictures first thing and she would give me a call afterwards.
4/4/18 I called Tiffany at 2:25 because I had not heard from Tiffany nor Shana. Tiffany said there was a mix up and the head of coolsculpting would be in on Monday, April 9th. She said that the lady can look to see what went wrong. I told her that I lost weight because I run 3 miles 4 days a week and I hadn’t done so in 2 weeks and I have gained weight. She said coolsculpting doesn’t help you lose weight. I said I am aware of that through my research. So I asked her what was the purpose of her asking me on March 27th had I lost any weght. She said with coolsculpting, you should maintain weight and it’s better to ask has a client lost any weight than to ask if they’ve gained any. I asked her would coolsculpting take credit for the weight loss if I had loss which is when she said the statement above. I asked her what did she find when she looked at my results. She said that she saw a “little” change. I said really!?!? Note: Shana has seen me for every follow up and she said that she didn’t see any results and neither did I . Tiffany went on to say that it’s hard to tell because the pictures were not taken the same every time. I told her that sounds like a personnel problem and she said, yes it is. She also said my body type may have played a part in my “results”. So I asked why wasn’t that considered from the beginning? I asked her what was was the lady in charge of coolsculpting going to do and she said she will look at the results to see what went wrong. She said I could come on Monday, April 9th and speak with her. I told Tiffany I would be in around 10am on Monday. She also said that it didn’t matter what she said I would be satisfied. And she was right because I didn’t think Tiffany was as involved as she should have been, being that she was the one in charge, she gave me my treatment, promised results and now trying to justify the lack of results. Another issue that I didn’t even address: SO NO ONE WAS GOING TO CALL ME AND TELL ME THAT THEY MADE A MISTAKE AND KELLY WAS ACTUALLY COMING ON APRIL 9TH!!!!!!!!!
4/9/18-I arrive at 10am. I waited 30 minutes before getting up to ask had the date and time for Kelly to come change. I was told that she was stuck in Atlanta traffic and would be there shortly. She arrived about 11am and they called me back about 10 minutes after her arrival. That’s not much time to review pictures! Anyway, Tiffany was a totally “DIFFERENT” person. She had back up, Kelly!!!They both said there was a 20% loss (Tiffany just said a “little” the other day). I told them I can see and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that there was no 20% reduction. Tiffany mentioned the unfavorable results document I signed and I mentioned her verbal promise of positive results and her comment about “old white ladies”. Tiffany said she told me that I would have to get at least 2 treatments. I said you did but you also said I should see some results with one treatment and told me about your treatment. On this day she said she had multiple treatments. On my treatment day, she said she had 2 treatments. I also asked her had she ever treated anyone with my body type and she said no. I said that should have been shared with me during the day of treatment before I made my decision. Kelly said she had treated clients with my body type and I said I’m sure you have in Atlanta but you didn’t provide my treatment. I said I was obviously provided the wrong treatment (applicators). I asked what were they going to do about the lack of results. Tiffany and Kelly refused to admit that there was a lack of results. Shana was in the room but not saying anything. I informed them that I would be posting a “negative” review and thanked Shana for her honesty in my lack of results and being so kind. I left but not before telling everyone in the waiting room to not get their coolsculpting treatment there and there was a woman waiting to have her consultation.
4/10/18-Shana called me to say Dr. Chism was going to give me one large applicator treatment and what day could I come in.
4/20/18-Shana treated me using the large applicator.
5/18/18- 4 weeks. No results. Shana agreed. She suggested I come back in 2 months instead of one.
7/13/18-12 weeks. No results and Shana agreed. As a matter of fact, I gained 5lbs. Shana could only show me pictures of other clients in which “she” had treated and in 8 weeks, they had positive results. After 7 months and 2 treatments, absolutely “NO RESULTS”. Shana didn’t offer any freebies but I did tell her I would have to post this negative review so that others will know what they are getting into. I wish someone had warned me!
I threw away $4,035. I would feel better had I lost it playing the lottery! I gave this money to my OBGYN’s office but that is the last dollar they will get from me. After 13 years of my business, I “really” trusted that they were legit. Off to a new OBGYN because I just cannot give them another “dime” of my money!!!!
I would give 0 stars if I could!!!!
