6 weeks post op!!!!
I’ve made it to 6 weeks! Wow it’s been a journey. I am back at college and going to classes and walking around the city just as I was. I still take it easy and have learned when to rest so I don’t push myself. I’ve put together a collage of my whole journey - pre weight loss to now. I have seen so much change in my body even over the last month since my surgery. The dimples are going away, and the pain is nonexistent. Just some swelling now :) I keep wearing my compression most of the time but have gone without it for 24 hours and didn’t have a hard time at all. Can’t wait to get back to the gym in two weeks!

I’m feeling super good :) been trying to build up stamina on activities. Went to the store with my mom, but needed a 2 hour nap after. I also sat down at a restaurant for an hour without being uncomfortable!
My new Marena garment comes in on Tuesday, I’ll do another update then. But I was able to try on my Spandex shorts!!!! I’m so thrilled with my results. I can’t wait to try on more clothes once I am comfortable enough.
I still struggle putting on pants / underwear / socks but I have a method where I lean against my bed. Getting in and out of the car is very difficult too, but I make it work. Just slower.

One week!
Yesterday I was able to get my stitches out and I feel SO MUCH BETTER! I feel like I can move around a lot easier without fear of ripping anything. Doctor said that I am healing super well and that I won’t have any weight lifting restrictions after a month post-op . :)
Last night I tried sleeping in my bed but I think the recliner is more comfy because it’s easier to get up & down throughout the night. I can technically get up from bed but it takes a lot more effort. Tried to go on my stomach to sleep but got stuck (LOL) so, I won’t be doing that for the time being.
I was able to go shop around tj maxx today, but still got pretty tired in a short period of time. Stairs feel weird but don’t hurt. Fully off paid meds / no Tylenol!
Anyways, this recovery is progressing lots faster than I expected. Hopefully I’ll be ready for my flight to Boston for college next week, but I already know navigating the airport will exhaust me. Trying to build up stamina for now.
