Breast Reconstruction - Australia

I had the Latissimus dorsi Reconstruction with tissue expanders then the Slimed Implants. I felt and felt the implants before they were inserted to know the thickness and feel. I didn't think they could ever really feel like my breasts but over time they really do. I also had Nipple reconstructions and areola skin graft. It was a major operation and yes there is pain but take the medication and then know when its only discomfort. Remember nothing lasts forever, rest and let yourself heal. The best advice would be get up and walk, go further each day. getting out in the fresh air was the best medicine. I had chemo for six months so the expanders and implants had to wait but after the last operation I was swimming in a 50mtr pool six weeks later and never looked back except to be grateful that I made the best choice going with Dr Lee. It's very hard to get comfortable to sleep and I found sleeping propped up with a v pillow and extra pillows under the arms for support gave me relief and a good sleep. Life was great before all this but it's brilliant now. we are so lucky to have so many intelligent people out there to help us along the way. Stay positive, good luck!!
