I remember turning 30 and watching my eyelids turn to crepe paper. Hated my hooded lids as they sank lower and lower on to my eyes. I finally found the courage and had the procedure last week. Today I finally look somewhat normal and am heading out without sunglasses. Posting before pics and a pic from each day after.

Thank you so much for sharing your photos and healing process. I have been worried about that. You are beautiful!

I am reading comments from women that are around my age, (51) as I think they would have the best change of mirroring what may happen with me when I get mine done in March. Appreciate the photos and the stories!

Most of the swelling seems gone. No bruising. I have a follow up today. I'm not positive I love the results yet. My eyes appear rounded as opposed to eye shaped. I can still see bumps where the stitches were. I didn't expect stitches anywhere other than the crease in my lid, but I do have heavy lids and I was told they were anchor stitches. I'll ask the dr more about that today.

Wow! What a difference!!! Your eyes do look more round. I'll be curious how it goes, too. I'm having mine done in 13 days. Thank you for taking the time to post photos and your story!

Hi there. I think the lids look less swollen today and will eventually be fine. Did you interview a few doctors?

Hi can you post another after photo? My eyelids are really puffy, and at first I looked at yours thinking nah, not like mine, but your after is really nice!

Massaging the scars

I had not heard that once a couple weeks pass you should start massaging the scars to help them heal. Started last night. Here's side pics of the bumps where the stitches were.

I have a bump one one eye pretty bad. My doc said it would go away without massage, but I've been doing it anyway!

I had upper eyelid surgery done five weeks ago...can anyone please tell me if they experienced pulling and tightness between the eyelid and the eyebrow and if so, for how long did this last? Especially when I try to open my eyes up wide I feel the pulling ! Help
