I had 3 children and wanted to enhance my body. I had a friend who used Dr Yily in the DR and recommended her so I followed suit. I am here to tell you that its not worth it. I know some people have great results & no complications but if you end up being one of the people who don't, you can never turn back. Doctors in the US won't care for you without additional out of pocket costs, and for that I could've (and should've) just paid the extra money for safety and peace of mind. I have been in debilitating pain ever since the surgery. I can't go anywhere, sometimes not even work. This was supposed to be something good, positive but it's not! I've emailed Dr Yily several times about my symptoms so she could tell me what I should do and I could've died waiting for a response. By the time I did get a response she was telling me I needed to come see her. Really? I don't live around the corner. Anyway, feel free to respond if you want more details. Im not against the surgery, just do it in the US with a board certified plastic surgeon!

Yes, but The only thing my primary doctor would do is test me for infection (which thank god I didn't have) and then refer me to a plastic surgeon. Well the surgeon wanted to charge me $2500 for him to follow my care for two weeks. For that, I could've stayed in the US. I don't have $2500 so I couldn't see him. I went to urgent care and they treated me so bad, very judgmental about my decision & wouldn't do anything for me to find out why I was hurting so bad. I Am still in pain everyday.

I had lipo with BBL May 18th. I almost didn't do it because The anesthesiologist was so unprofessional. I was trying to explain to them that I was allergic to latex. Initially he acted like he didn't speak English and then he asked me (while laughing) what I do about condoms! I was so pissed and that's just for starters. I never seen the Doctor after I left the recovery house. Not once. The person I paid to look after me spoke no English at all and I didn't speak Spanish so it was very hard right from the start. I followed all of the instructions to the letter, except I did, obviously have to sit on the plane ride home. At work, even though I have a desk job, I got a raised desk so I could stand all day. I always had pain but it didn't get better, only worse. Tingling, burning, sharp pains all over. Mostly in my hips and butt area. If I touch the area it feels like it's bruised. It's hard to even lay down to sleep at night. The only thing my primary doctor would do is test me for infection (which thank god I didn't have) and then refer me to a plastic surgeon. The responses I did get were extremely delayed and didn't make sense. The last one was asking me to come back so she could check me out. Yeah right. Not an option. I was hoping if I gave her my symptoms she could point me in the right direction but she just QUIT responding. I know some people who have had positive experiences but I would never recommend anyone that I love or care about go to the DR for surgery.
Tell them You had surgey in Miami then & you can get there right now. Do you have medical insurance? Why would a PS say $2500? I had follow up care with a ps here and it was covered under my insurance because i had a referral. Got the referral from the ER.

I'm sorry to hear that but there are so many people dying and complaining about Yily you should've done your research. They treat Americans like [RS bleep]...... People end up leaving there with so many infections. I pray that you recover but there's no way you should be in so much pain without any complications. Continue to take vitamins and drink lots of PURE cranberry juice and water. Follow up with your doctor every 3 months to make sure your clear of infections. Call around the states there are a few doctors that are willing to see you put you'll have to pay. just keep trying!
I did my research. I found way more positive feedback than negative and I had a couple friends who were pleased with her. At the end of the day, my mind was made up, I was going. But if I can help anyone, just one person, with their decision by posting my experience, it'll be worth it!
Sorry about your pain but pain comes with extensive surgery. US doctors does not do painless surgery that I know of. Also, why haven't you followed up with doctory or PS here. Of course you wouldn't be able to follow up in DR. All patients need to follow up with someone. Third, Yily is a board cerified surgeon in the DR. Yes, her email respond is terrible. But have you tried to call? You have to think. She has 100's of email flooding her inbox daily. Most are from women just inquiring and don't even have the money for surgery. There is a number on her site that you can call the office direct. I also had a terrible time with her replying to an email. But to write a bad review because surgery hurt....... Really?
How post ob are you? Give more details cause it kind of hard to understand.
I'm 5 months as stated above. I'm not asking for advice, I'm sharing my experience which was poor. I did try to call, their English is also poor, very difficult for them to understand me. That's why I rely on email. What would you like more details on?
